Beautiful building and worth seeing. Mounted costume guards outside but significance would be lost if you were not a Moroccan or steeped in local history.

“Not facing true East!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

Minaret's have small gallows to hang an oil lamp, so that when electric fails, worshippers can still find their way to pray. New Minaret now faces true East, but you can still see the old bases.

“Wonderfully ornate tomb of a Moroccan King!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

The interior of the Hassan I Tomb has this amazing wooden carved dome ceiling and beautiful mosaic tile walls and floors. Impressive columns and tower outside. Get a guide so you'll hear all the history and fully understand what you are looking at.

“A most impressive and inspiring mausoleum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2013

This is a place to enjoy. The tile-work, ceilings and Italian marble have been beautifully assembled. It was designed, surprisingly, by a Vietnamese architect but the style is very Moroccan. The fountains are in Zellij tile work. They are beautiful.
