Couldn't have gone any better. We got picked up at the airport by the taxi that Najat arranged for us. The house is awesome, roomy and comfortable with a great terrace and most importantly centrally located in the heart of the old city steps to the old souk and literally at the doorsteps of great sites like the world famous Cafe Baba.

Najat is a fantastic host, she knows everyone and her and her friends are really helpful, please please have her introduce you to her friend Christian if you are looking for a night out on the town (you will not regret it)

I would highly recommend Maison Hassani and hope to be back soon

It was our first time in Tangier and we were picked up at the train station by their driver, Mohammed Ali. Yes, the boxer. We welcomed by Najat and Daniel upon arriving at their home. It's a beautiful place near the Kasbah and right in front of the famous Cafe Baba. They apologized for the first night because they placed us in a smaller room, which was okay with us. The next day, they gave me and my mom two separate rooms at no extra charge. Breakfast is a normally Moroccan pancakes, some bread, and their delicious homemade jams. The view from the terrace is wonderful while you sip your morning coffee at around 830-9 am. You can also request Najat to cook for you since she does delicious Moroccan cuisine.

They only speak French and Arabic though, but that's fine. Just go on google translate and you'll enjoy a few laughs along the way.

I'll definitely come back and stay with them again. Best way to enjoy Tangier!

Following a slight hitch that the host forgot to pick us up from the port, we had a great stay here. The two biggest advantages are the central location and the well-organized trips. our hosts organised an extremely friendly and knowledgeable taxidriver named Mohammed Ali to take us to the beaches and caves near Tanger.

If you do not speak French, it will not be easy to communicate with the hosts.

We had two rooms, one for us and one for our four and eight year old children. The setup for families was perfect. Our kids loved breakfast on the roof Terrace, which consisted of tons of sweet things.

Watch out if you are very tall, as my husband is, as this place will feel a bit cramped for you - The beds look fabulous, as they are round, but leave tall people with limited space.

All in all, very recommendable accommodations in an extremely central location.

Room Tip: The 2 rooms on the ground floor are good for families.

My husband and I with two kids, ages 7 and 12, stayed for 7 days at Maison Hassani. Daniel and Najat were very gracious and welcoming. We stayed in the bottom floor apartment with two bedrooms that are connected by a bathroom and a hallway. It had a door for more privacy. The location of the riad is in the ancient medina so it is extremely easy to walk around to the kasbah and medina for sights and shopping. The view of the port from the balcony where you eat breakfast every morning was a delightful way to start each day. Najat and Daniel cooked for dinner or lunch for us a couple of times which was an respite from having to get to a restaurant for meals each day. Najat arranged a guide for us to go to Chefchoun as well as drivers to go to the beach and other sights outside of the medina area. The only negative is that it is their home as well and we would hear them talking to each other. And if you don't know French or Moroccan, you may have difficulty communicating. There was a double booking of a couple while we were there and that caused some problems for one couple who had to go elsewhere late in the day.

Room Tip: There isn't a pool or a fitness center. I don't recommend staying in the two bedroom one bat...

On a grand adventure road trip with my mother, we stayed at Maison Hassani for one night. Unfamiliar with anything or anywhere, we made it to the square of the medina and called for help. Nadjat, the first Moroccan host of many, came to retrieve us and continued to show us what Moroccan hospitality was all about. Our quarters were on the ground level of a multi-leveled guest house with plenty of space, my mother and I each had our own rooms with round beds, plenty of cushions, privacy, and a very nice bathroom. The guesthouse was a myriad of staircases and rooms, complete with a delightful terrace with a view of the medina, and what I think was the Mediterranean, and Rif Mountains. She took us to a wonderful restaurant nearby whose cous CPUs has yet to be surpassed, and believe me, we've had lots since. From parking our rental car, helping us with our luggage, and everything else, Nadjat was the perfect hostess and I would surely recommend Maison Hassani to anyone interested in staying at a local place right in the medina.

Room Tip: Bottom floor is a two bedroom suite. Did not see other room.

Najat and Daniel's B&B was right in the Medina which was very atmospheric. It was quiet and central with great from the terrace. A little oasis away from the noise and bustle of the city.
They picked us up from the ferry on our arrival. They organised a day trip for us with a great tour guide and they were able to give us good advice on anything we wanted to know. They speak french and arabic.
The apartment was romantic with Moroccan/French decor. The round bed looked great but it was not so comfortable to sleep on. This was the only fault we could find with the accommodation. The rooms were serviced beautifully every day.
Every morning we had a delicious breakfast of fresh bread, Najat's homemade jam, pancakes, eggs and tea and coffee on the terrace. Najat will cook dinner for you if you let her know in advance. She made us an excellent tajine one evening.

We only stayed in Tangier for 1 night as a starting base for a 2 week trip around Morocco and were so pleased we stayed at the Maison Hassini. Daniel is a true gentleman, and although he doesn't speak English we had fun trying to communicate with him on the roof terrace looking over the rooftops of Tangier with a cool beer he had presented to us on arrival.

He's a great character and his house reflects that... warm, welcoming and interesting. The room available to us was perfect, beautifully decorated with a funky circular bed in the corner. We had a shared bathroom which is very big, there weren't any other people staying at the time so we had the bathroom to ourselves but I wouldn't see this as a problem even if other guests were staying.

Daniel even dropped us off to the train station the next morning as he was en-route to the airport to pick up his family... what a truly nice chap he is!

Thanks so much for this brief visit, we wish it could have been for longer!
