I spent three nights here over the easter holiday. An english speaking taxi driver suggested it.
I had had a difficult few days and felt I needed a little comfort.
Hotel de Paris would normally be above my budget, but late rooms are available off season.
I had a lovely single room on the top floor with a sink and a desk and a terrace for 180dh per night, including breakfast. Bathroom, with bath, next door.
Staff were friendlyand helpful, tho they didn't speak much english. Arabic, Spannish and a little french. Communicaion wasn't difficult.
Breakfast is served when you get up. No Rush, so long as its before 12! Orange juice, coffee and pain au chocolat from the patisserie next door. The Metropole, accross the road does the best coffee in town(takeaway with a little negotiation).
The building itself is beautiful, with a faded grandeur. Marble staircases and tiled corridors.
Mirrored salons and a comfortable (even familiar) retro feel.
Acima, the local supermarket is just down the hill a bit. They have a fine selection of wines, beers and spirits at very reasonable prices.
Cafe de France is 5minutes walk away. 10 mins to the grand socco. Lots of taxis. Lots of women.
Lots of places to eat. No hassle. I liked it here and would stay again.More
