“Great Stay”
Reviewed 24 May 2013

Stayed here one night - The Concierge was fantastic, spoke English and was so very attentive, as we were only here for a day and a half he organized a guided tour, sorted a very good price, sourced transport for the next day to Chefchaouen at a better price than we had found.
The rooms were clean and tidy, shower was lovely and hot. We selected an ocean side room and the views were great, as there is so much happening along the foreshore at all hours of the night. Hard to get used to the fact that the sun dos not go down to 10 at night. Only issue we found is that they are all smoking rooms - although our room did not smell as soon as you went into the hall way it reeked of . Breakfast was not good - eggs cold and not much other than sweet breads and cake

The location of the hotel is great. Near to the port, opposite the beach and on the sea front.
Even on the 4th floor the noise througout the night penetrated the windows disturbing my sleep.

Breakfast was the average Moroccan breakfast affair in many hotels.

Evening meal was either Moroccan or a basic set menu in the international restaurant.

Price was a bit high for the standard

Room Tip: Go high up or a room at the rear

I felt very welcome at the Solazur hotel, my room was high with a lovely sea view. Everything clean, the bathroom was of a good standard and the bed comfortable. Free wifi. Staff were mainly friendly and helpful. Though there were a few exceptions, hence 3 points.

Breakfast was what you would expect for a hotel of this standard.

Ok some things could be improved (Internet in room was unreliable, English understanding sometimes difficult and one occasion I had to wait at reception, with one person very busy and another 4 chatting in the office behind) . However considering the value and the good will and friendliness of most staff it was worth a 5 overall. The housekeeping and room cleaning was excellent. Everything changed, refreshed and nicely laid out each day.

I had no problem with noise, despite clubs being along the entire corniche.

Will certainly stay again.

Room Tip: Take a high room with a sea view,

Husa Solazur is a great hotel right on the seafront overlooking the marina in Tangier, Morocco. It is an extremely clean hotel with rooms that have all you could need. The views over the seafront are amazing by day and by night. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The hotel has a variety of bars and restaurants and a great pool area. It also has a spa, but we didn't have time to explore what it had to offer. We booked on the hotel's own website and thought the rate was really good value. The website was easy to use and they even gave us a room upgrade for using the site. All in all it was a great deal from a really nice hotel. We would recommend this hotel to all travellers, tourists and business people alike.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upgrade at reception to a room with a sea view. It is well worth it and the view is g...

We stayed here for a week, for our first trip to Morocco. Taxi from the Tangier airport cost us MAD150, which is standard I think as we arrive after 10pm.
Apart from the usual slight initial confusion when two men checking in for a double room - w e didn't have any problem throughout our stay, in fact the staff were very friendly and ready to help with suggestions. After few days, once they got to know us, they even said hello to us when we met them in town - which I thought was very sweet.
The decor was minimalist With open entrance / lobby area with plenty of seating.
The bedroom fittings and fixtures were modern and adequate, but not of high standard. We paid extra for a sea view room - which was amazing. The noise from the street might be a problem to a light sleeper as mentioned by other reviewers. The bed was comfortables with nice size bathroom.
Breakfast was standard European with lots of bread - several types. You must try the Moroccan pancake with "amlou' - which is a peanut butter and honey mix. The description may not give justice to this delicious food, but try it ;)
The orange juice is particularly fresh and tangy.. And unlike everything else here in Tangier - not too sweet.
They have the hammam which we didn't try. It is staffed only by female. The pool was not ready and being repaired during our entire stay. We didn't try their restaurant, but we had a room service once - which was good and quick to arrive.
We were a bit concern as at times we can get cigarette smells to our room from adjoining rooms. Only odd times - presumably through the venting system / air condition
Overall - it was a very good stay with reasonable price. Very friendly and accommodative staff. We speak very little French, Spanish or Arabic - but they were very good to help.

This hotel has a great location on a main road in front of the sea. It is a big hotel with a Spa, different food and beverage outlets qnd facilities. The rooms facing the main street have beautiful view of the sea and sandy beach. The room has a modern design and good amenities. There are many cafes, restaurants and night clubs that are just walking distance from the hotel.
