“This is where local foodies go.”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

Great lunch spot on the Petit Socco (small plaza) in the medina of Tangers. As many times as I've had hummous, I've never ever had better than Le Bistro's! Chef Bridgette prepares the food and husband Didier waits the tables and patiently answers tourists' questions! We'd definitely go back here.

“A Slice of Tangerine Life”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

A great place to stop, order a drink and watch the world go by, crazy as that world may seem. Motorized tuk-tuks whiz past, overloaded with goods and people, along with Berbers in traditional dress, touts hawking their wares, and various other colorful residents.

“In Tangier's Petit Socco, the Bistrot is the place to go.”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

"Le Bistrot" is new (opened in 2013), and is a breath of fresh air in the confined spaces of the Tangier medina. Overlooking the historic and lively "Petit Socco" or little souq, the veritable pedestrian-only crossroad of the medina, it's a great place for a full three course meal or light snack. French proprietors (transplanted recently from Marbella, Spain) display a menu board of amazing variety, all homemade with fresh ingredients from souq and nearby fish market. It's clean, bright, and friendly. No alcohol license, but who really cares when the food is so good? This is a great lunchtime place (closed on Fridays, which shows that they care about their Moroccan customers too), and a "keeper" for the under-served (resto-wise) medina.
