We stayed here the last night of our stay in Tanzania. The traffic in Dar can be atrocious (and was, on our way to the hotel), so staying close to the airport for the morning flight out is a good idea.
The staff were very helpful - we needed some tape to repair a box we were shipping, and they went to the shops to buy some for us.
The food at the small bar/restaurant was ok - just simple stuff.
The bathroom had no windows, and the shower was just cold water...
The bed was pretty uncomfortable...
Now, all these things we were ok with, since it a VERY inexpensive hotel. But what we couldn't bear was that around 8pm some loud music began next door - sounded like a nightclub (and may well have been). Our window, though closed, still let all the noise in. Don't get me wrong, I like a little african conga dance music, but when its turned up to full and doesn't stop until we left at 5:15am, it is far too much. It was unbearable! We couldn't sleep at all.
Now you'd expect this to be a Saturday night, but this was a Thursday night, so I'm not sure how often it happens, but be warned...
That said, if you just want to party all night before you leave, and need a hotel to store your bags while you do, then this may be the perfect place for you! :-)
