The hotel is very nice and remarkably quiet. It's clean, the rooms are small but fine (with fan, fridge and a.c.). The bar area is a good place to relax and chat. Staff are friendly. The only drawback is the location - although it isn't far from town, it's in a pretty dense housing area (with poor roads). This means there isn't much to see or do within walking distance, so a taxi ride would be essential if you didn't have your own transport. By Dar standards, it's reasonably priced, and is good value for money.

One night, business, single.

+ nice and friendly staff
+ spacious room
+ price
+ nice flora around.

- no luxury
- beds a bit uncomfortable

All in all, good for African standards but average on TA (since TA does not allow for scoring of good)

my husband and I stayed overnight here. The room had a small double and a single. one of the ceiling lights didn't work, so the room was dim. there were ants and spiders crawling on the bathroom vanity. i guess that's why they supplied a can of bug spray for the room. the bed was extremely uncomfortable. we won't be staying here again.

The construction of tall apartment buildings around the little haven has not taken its homely feel. I especially liked its lush green little gardens, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms and really good food! Guest typically eat together around the same table hence it is a great avenue also to meet people from all over the world. If you are looking for an affordable, quiet, clean and relaxing place, whether you are on business or holiday, this is the place to be.

Hidden from the hustle and bustle, it was a joy to arrive and relax in this little green oasis. Super helpful staff and interesting people to meet at dinner - interesting to hear how different people ended up visiting Tanzania. I would certainly stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip at the end of July. The hotel has comfortable, clean rooms. Beds have foam mattresses and mosquito nets. The bathrooms have showers with hot water although the water pressure is low and not much more than a trickle at times. There are a safe, a refrigerator, a ceiling fan and an A/C in the room. I did not use the A/C so I cannot comment on how well it works. Wifi is free but it is spotty in the morning and evening, with frequent interruptions and is ok for emails and browsing of websites, but too slow for streaming. The place has a well groomed, small but lush garden, a cozy restaurant area where breakfast and other meals are served. Breakfast was good and included fresh fruit, muffins, bread, eggs, coffee/tea, cheese, jams. Dinner was buffet style and also good. They have wine and beer. the staff was very corteous and always eager to help. For instance I arrived late in the evening and they were kind to fix a sandwhich and a drink. Safety did not seem to be an issue. The only issue was that there is a major construction ongoing of 2 high rises essentially attached to the hotel. Work started at 7am and ended in the evening with pieces of material occasionally falling on the tin roof of the veranda and causing significant noise. It was not much of an issue for me as I was there for work and got up early in the am, but certainly something to consider if you are planning to stay there for leisure. I have no idea when the construction will end.

Stayed there for nearly a week and can just say the hotel was spotless. The prices can be discussed as they are a little high considering the overall standard - but if want to preserving this hotel I am happy to pay for it as well. In dar you have a plethora of alternatives regarding accomodation - from simple hostels to super-lux high-end resorts, From 20US per night to 250US -and thats a real difference, isnt it! This hotel is in the range of around 100US, which many of the areas's hotels are, but there are something special about this place. It pose a special charm and somehting close to cosyness. I was told, it since its opening has been looked upon as an oasis in busy Dar, and sure it still is, even though Dar has become as busy as you are having construction sites on two sides of the hotel compound! Thats a real pity indeed because somewhere along the road it takes away some ot the hotel's core since the sound which appears from time to time from the construction. And really, i did not care much either about it - i was to busy Working. overall, the hotel has everything a hotel should and i strongly recomend it to as many persons as possible. Its a pearl to preserv!!
