If you’re American, you’ve probably been to a Subway before. If you’re not American, you probably have too (unless you’re African). There are more Subways than McDonald’s. Anyway, no matter where you’re from, you’d probably be surprised to find one in Tanzania, but there it is in Dar es Salaam, beside a DHL, underneath a Barclay’s, sort of diagonally across from a Puma, and more or less directly across from the Serena. The YMCA and YWCA are near. It’s the real deal too. They don’t have banana peppers and they only have one type of cheese (American), but everything else is there—even cookies. They have air conditioning too. The service is right on—fast and friendly. The best part is the daily sub--just 4500TSh. Eating at this Subway is just like being in the US.
