The accommodations of the Royal Mushi Inn are far from abysmal but, they aren't amazing either.
The rooms were nice, clean, and air conditioned. (Those items were appreciated).
However, I found the staff there horribly rude and unaccommodating. For example, “Angel” (who runs the office during the morning shift) refused to even take a picture for our group. Additionally, if any of us had issues with our keys not working, it was like “moving mountains” to get her to assist us. At no point in time were pleasantries or greetings given to us. (The only hotel staff that did that on a regular basis was the security guard and the woman that cooks breakfast in the morning).
The customer service got even worse when heading to the Royal Mushi’s dining/bar area. The overstaffed establishment literally went out of their way to be rude, abrasive, and slow to deliver. Unacceptable...
Lastly, despite advertising that the hotel had “internet services” on their hotel sign, no such facilities were made available to us. When confronted about their "advertising error", they assured us it would be resolved. Sadly, this never occurred.
I would never stay here again. Nor would I recommend it to anyone traveling to Dar es Salaam for vacation.
