I have lodged in this hotel several times in the last 4 months after it changed its name from markham hotel. It is being renovated within the interior and it is very all located in the city of Dar es salaam ( Tanzania).
The rates are good, the breakfast is fine and the staff are very friendly too. It has a swimming pool and access to a gym on the ground floor of the complex it is located in, the mix of facilities as very good value or the money you pay.
The rooms are very spacious, quite well ventilated, te facilities in the room ate also quite functional, except that you my need to cross check that all the stuff are working before the porter leaves you in the room. The suites are extra large and more than value for money, it comes with a large bath and shower, a massive bed room and bed, a dining table with chairs, a large sofa and seating area, as well as a fully equipped kicthenet.
The only down side to this hotel is that they do not serve alcohol and order other meals from the affiliated restaurant within the complex, it does not run a kitchen of its own and only serves a free breakfast that ends at 10.30am daily.
Security is quite good and the premises is always kept very clean. Only that omeime, the security men go to sleep before guests return from their law night out, even though they way end up opening the gate aftera few blares of the car horns.
Overall, it is a good hotel.
