It's was a brilliant place to know about early Hominins, Olduvai Goerge Skull, canoes used for fishing few hundered years ago, lifestyle, Masaai culture, huts and ancient human existence fossils, about Slave trade and how people helped in eradicating slave trades...it's a must place to visit. The souvenir shop is very interesting inside the Museum.

If you want to see the worst museum ever visited, this is a must. Or if you never visited a museum before. Then you have a standard for all your future museum visits. One word : terrible.

My 6 year old often compares the small homes at the Village Museum to a haunted house as she gets very scared in the houses since you can't see much in the dim spaces and so her imagination runs wild. You can't really see all the signs inside the homes and nothing is really maintained or kept up. Tanzania has a rich history and I wish that more of the money given for entry fees was used to actually maintain this museum.

Well, we had already traveled for 2 1/2 months throughout East Africa, and this was our final day of touring. We had already been to several villages, visited with people as part of our safari. So this was more of a review of places we had been. It's fine and dandy, but we couldn't get a guide because we arrived to late in the day, which was disappointing. The museum was interesting....

It's a good place to go especially if you aren't going out onto the land with any of your tours...

They want you to pay extra to see some drumming and dancing by some older women....we didn't pay for that.....should have just been part of the fee from my perspective....
