"Animals have feelings too... when you tease or throw stones at them, they get angry and hurt just as you would.
Please treat animals with respect like in Dar es salaam zoo.

It is an amazing place, despite the trafic and bad transport which is a problem to blame the goverment. It is a place where animals are taken good care of treated and being fed nicely.
Its a place where you can even go with your family and relax, enjoy, learn and also have fun while getting the opportunity of meeting animals in a close distance.
They also give out opportunities to interact with other animals such as monkeys, snakes, horses, crocodiles and many other more by feeding and touching them. They also give you a rare chance to get to ride on animals such as camels, donkeys and horses.
They provide specific timings where you can go and watch the cat and dog family feed on their pile of meat and best of all is watching the king and queen of the jungle (the lion and lioness) feed.
It is a rare opportunity and attraction not to miss.
It can shortly be explaned in three words
RELAX. LEARN. FUN

Must go.......\(^o^)/

I can't think of even 1 good reason to visit a zoo in Tanzania. It takes you up to one day with the bad traffic, so spend this time by driving to Mikumi early in the day (4 hour drive) and drive in this national park close to Dar for a few hours. There you see the real wildlife instead of a few animals in cages.

what I want to tell you is that is very difficult to say it's a real zoo
you drive about 45 min from DAR and visit a place with the name of zoo in the country that has most famous national parks in Africa but in this place you can see only some angry and tired animal in small , old and dirty cages and with out many of famous animals like giraffe ,hippo and ....
so I think you waste your time if you go there
