We climbed the Kilimanjaro with friends in 5 days with African love birds adventure. It was an awesome, great experience. Everything was very well organized, good and experienced team of guides and porters.

We had a very well organized mountaineering trip with ZARA tours . They provided 10 porters for both me and my cousin, a very skilled and experienced guide Frankie and equally good assistant guide Mzui. Their expertise will really come into play on the Last day of SUMITT climb. A treacherous climb, with severe hypoxic and Arctic chilling cold conditions. A wonderful life time experience of climbing the tallest free standing mountain in the world and the tallest in Africa.
Zara tours also organized a tour covering nearby national parks and Ngorongoro crater area.
They arranged our stay at an excellent hotel called Highview. It really has wonderful high views of surrounding landscapes of that beautiful area.
Will go back soon with family. This time will cover Serengeti to Zanzibar

Get yourself fit if you want to reach the peak, Even if you are unable to reach the peak it's an experience of its own, Our team of guides and porterwas like family taking care of you , the beauty of various levels where you climb through the rain forest to a desert is an experience in it self.
Would say it would be a life changing experience

It was an amazing experience to climb kili with a group of like-minded motivated people. Our group was great and we all had the experience of a lifetime. Our operator climb kili was excellent too from start to finish and the guys along the way looked after us to ensure we were safe an comfortable and guided to success - we all completed the trek. Brilliant experience - go for it!

We are not athletes, but we did it. It was certainly not easy for two 50 somethings is fair shape. We did train for 6 months. Bought all the right gear and studied by watching so many YouTube videos of others trek up. I recommend finding one that is your planned route and season. However, with Climate Change, the dry warm season was cold, wet, sleety and snowy, so be prepared for anything. Important to always be warm and dry. No cotton clothing. Mainly wool or other synthetic materials designed for adventurers. Pick a great tour company. Do not go cheap. We used PeakPlanet as ourtour operator and it was fantastic. Your comfort and personal safety/wellbeing are at risk. Do recommend any tour group that offers you a private toilet carried up for you. The out houses along the route are disgusting and I'm being kind. Do take Dymox for altitude sickness. We saw so many vomiting along the way who did not. We also hired oxygen for the final ascent. We used it, but may not have needed it. However, I was not prepared to risk not making it to the summit.
