Having trained as field guides in South Africa my husband and I wanted an truly amazing safari destination for our honeymoon. Asanja was everything we could have dreamed of and more - utterly incredible food, fantastic staff who were ALL incredibly friendly and welcoming, fantastic location (right in the heart of the bush and away from all the tourists!), stunning tents each unique in their design. I can't recommend Asanja enough.

Asanja definitely is a true experience of wild with full luxury. Asanja had the best bedding I have ever slept on. There was plenty of wildlife around the property and the best thing was identifying zebra , wild beast, hyenas and hippo sounds at night and most of all the lion roars. As somebody also mentioned in other review regarding lion roars I must say you can experience the roars best at asana.

A very special thank you to Jeremy the manager who made sure we were treated like kings and queens. If you are a person who doesn't mind spending more than I would definitely recommended asanja. TRUE VALUE FOR MONEY IN THE WILD.

Me and my husband stayed at asanja during our honeymoon trip to Tanzania .. We loved every moment we spent at the camp. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made sure we were comfortable. Everything about this place is amazing.. The wildlife around the area is brilliant. The camp has a nice feel of Maasai culture and have Maasai butlers looking after you. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you are on your honeymoon.. It was one of the most romantic stay of our entire trip. We hope to return very soon.

Room Tip: If you are out for a thrill or adventure ask for the last tent

We spent 3 nights here 13-15th July 2013 as a family of four and it is somewhere I very much hope to return to some day. The sound of lions and hyenas at night, the camp fire with maasai humour, the truly outstanding meals (especially given the location) and the sunsets are just some of the highlights.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were constantly felt welcome to this paradise in the middle of the bush. Absolutely fantastic place and as my review title says it is my heaven on earth. Am already looking forward to going back and think of it constantly. Asanti Asanja. Asanti.

Room Tip: No tip needed. Just get there and let the magic of the camp take effect. Amazing place and beautiful...

From the moment we arrived to Asanja -at sundown after a long and tiring car ride- we fell in love with Asanja. Our first impression was of the reception area which is basically a tiny plywood area with a roof and a table away from the camp itself. We couldn't believe it and we loved it. We were received by Maasai staff who gave us wet towels and a refreshing drink. The General Manager then took charge and with his strong organizational skills was able to keep all our quirks and requests straight despite the fact that we were a total of 14 people between the ages of 7-70. Our tents were all clean and comfortable. We each had our own 'Maasai butler' who took care of our needs and made sure we were attended to. The food and drink was good and varied. Our only suggestion is for the camp to be supplied with extra blankets since the temperature does go down somewhat during the night. Otherwise, I highly recommend the Asanja Camp for your Serengeti experience.
