Just returned from a most amazing trip to Tanzania. Many thanks to Ajay for stellar professional assistance with arrangements through his Asanja Africa. I appreciate the infinite patience and close communication before during and after the trip; it meant nothing to worry about and greatly enhanced the entire experience. The itinerary was perfect with visits to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngornongoro Crater, Odepai Gorge and the Serengeti. Spent two great nights at Nimali and three at Asanja Africa camp. Guides are most important to the experience and we were paired with the best - Sharifu for the fist 3 days and Erick, a true star, for the last 3 in Serengeti. We observed more wildlife and interaction among the animals than could have imagined. The vehicles were great - comfortable and fun with a fully-open one for the Serengeti days. First two nights on Safari spent at Nimali, a super luxurious Asanja-related property. The “tents”, the setting, food and the staff are 5-star material. The watering hole on the property is a meeting place for families of elephants, water buffalos, and all of the animals for all kinds of surprise encounters to observe just a few feet away! Met at the vehicle with a warm welcome by all upon arrival, Ruben sets the tone for hospitality followed by all staff members; he is the epitome of a hotelier and insists with warmth and sincerity that while you are at Nimali you are at home; please feel that - and you fully do! The small, intimate and equally wonderful Asanja Africa camp is comfortable-rustic, in a gorgeous setting. Expertly managed by Jeremy with a truly warm & wonderful staff including Arnold and John, among the many others, they provide personal, professional high level hospitality that make Asanja a special destination. From the friendly greeting by the staff upon arrival to the group farewell upon departure, they were sensational! The dining and lounge areas are spectacular and perfect place to begin and end each day. The food is great and plentiful, and packed lunches included large portions and variety. Accommodating of special requests, the dear Chef fulfilled our desire to eat like the locals and included Tanzanian specialties at dinner and lunch! The tents are comfy, well-apppointed and all have most beautiful views with private outdoor seating areas. I am forever grateful to every member of Team Asanja because they made this first trip to Africa a perfect one in every way.

Room Tip: All of the tents have excellent views.

Dear ChiaNYC,

Thank you for your precious time time for this amazing review!
We are trilled to hear that you had such an amazing time during your first trip to Africa, your Northern Circuit Itinerary sounds perfect! Ajay is our star when it comes to creating carefully tailored experiences to each individual guest, ensuring that every detail is taken into account.

We couldn’t agree with you more that your safari guide is the most important factor and the secret for successful safari! We at Asanja are fortunate to have our own top quality safari guides, who are not only experienced and knowledgeable, but communicate well, speak different languages, are good with children, deal well with unexpected problems, and have many more skills that make an excellent safari guide.

We are also delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tents, its surrounding, the food, and most importantly the service of our staff, which is the highest compliment. It is great that you’ve chosen to eat the local food, we feel like it’s one of the best ways to truly "taste" a culture! I will be sure to share your feedback with Ruben, Jeremy, Arnold, John and the rest of the team. Thank you for appreciating the team’s efforts! As you said, all of them provide personal, professional high level hospitality that make Asanja a special destination.

We are so happy that your game drives exceeded your expectations! Nimali, with it’s swimming pool and a waterhole is a constant attraction to wildlife just a few feet away from your tent, while Asanja is perfectly situated in South Central part of Serengeti, with it’s incomparable abundant wildlife throughout the year.

We are humbled by your choice of words to express your experience with Asanja, and we are forever grateful for having the opportunity to welcome you!

Sincerely,
Asanja Africa Team

My wife and I spent three nights in this tented camp and I must confess this is the best experience during our entire safari.
The camp is located in the middle of nowhere with a great view on landscape and sunset. The staff is very helpful and makes you feel home. A special mention to Bariki who provided fantastic support. Eventhough you are lost in the savana, the chef manages to cook great food which was beyond our expectations. The tent is very confortable but limited in water and electricity (which makes sense ).
A mistake in the bill from an employee didnt manage to change our view about our experience. In case of issue, dont hesitate to ask for manager who has a better global vision.
We will always last sunny breakfast when we were alone in the camp and admiring the view

Dear donvitotonio,

It is very rewarding for the team to know that our Asanja is the place where you had the best experience during your entire safari! It makes us very happy to hear that you and your wife had an unique experience of a life time!

It is wonderful reading how much you enjoyed the camp’s location ‘in the middle of nowhere’, landscape, sunsets… Africa never fails to get under your skin.

We are so happy to hear that the food exceeded your expectations! We are indeed lucky to have an amazing chef who can prepare famous dishes from Africa, Asia, Europe, America… tailored to fit your food preferences. We will be sure to share your compliments with the entire team, especially chef and Bariki for a job well done.

While I am happy that the inconvenience with the receipt is quickly resolved, I do apologize for it. Our manager is always at your service, to effectively handle any situation.

We have truly enjoyed having you, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!

Warm wishes,
Asanja Africa Team

I highly recommend booking a safari with Asanja! I booked a 4 day Safari with Asanja. We stayed at their sister property Nimali camp near Tarangire park on the first night and then two nights at Asanja in the Serengeti. Ajay who organized the Safari and all details of the itinerary was excellent, super organized, and gave super detailed cost break downs, etc. The camps were both beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was impeccable.

The staff at both Nimali and Asanja were super professional, detail oriented, punctual - truly on point! All of the staff member were so kind, personable, and always went the extra mile to make sure my family and I were comfortable and at ease.

Mike our tour guide was awesome!! He did an excellent job, he was always early and very knowledgeable about the animals. He was also very kind, funny, down to earth, and made sure we saw many animals!

We had such a memorable experience with Asanja.

We were a family of 4 with 2 young children (8 and 5). The place is amazing, the food is great, and the people really nice and professional. The best experience we had in our 7 days safari trip in Tanzania.
