We started of our African safari with a 2 night stay at this camp in September 2012. I am glad to say that this camp pretty much raised the bar for all other camps that were to follow. It was a brilliant stay and we wished we had stayed longer .
The key is that these guys who run the camp at site- David+Epimark and team- define service. All team members go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
All tents are very well done and well laid out , each providing a panoramic view of the endless serengeti plains . We could hear the roar of the lions in the early mornings. Wildebeest and Zebras were in plenty , right in front of the main camp entrance. The tents are however, well guarded by the Masai tribesmen.
The beds in the tents are large and comfortable, and attention to detail in the bath area is truly commendable. Hot water for shower is provided in the overhead buckets and were filled up as many times as requested by us. Each tent is also provided with rubber boots to enable walking in rains .
We really enjoyed the campfire in the evenings and the community dinner. It provides a wonderful platform to know other guests in the camp and exchange notes on the safari.
David and Mark- you define hospitality. Right from the beginning when we arrived at the camp, we were made to feel comfortable .Staff was very polite and always eager to help. Jackson,Haaji, Godbless, and Ebinitzaa -you were truly wonderful. Anthony - your food was superb- especially desert- and something we really craved for, during the rest of our african tour.
We surely look forward to re-visit you sometime soon. And recommend you to anyone visiting Serengeti.
