Great hotel in the middle of serengetti national park. Animals roam freely on the territory. The time we stayed at the hotel, staff advised not to come out of rooms unescorted, as there was a leopard spotted on the territory.

We have stayed in this lodge for three times. We appreciate the location, the friendly staff and the view from the cottages. the area is also very exciting and never have we seen so many animals this year. The other times we've been there, there have been fine entertainment, but this year the music was too loud and the show boring.

Another good Serena Lodge. My only complaint was being on safari I never had enough time to appreciate the accommodation. However once again all that I needed was in place. Comfortable room, pleasant staff, great setting

After leaving the Mara Serena Safari Lodge we came to the Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. I love their food, and their staff. They had two burners for making omelets but only used one which made for a long line. But the food was delicious. The Lodge is made up of Huts. After dark you are asked to call the front desk for an escort when walking to the dining room, bar, shop or main lodge.
The huts were fun! Once again though the beds were too hard. Sleep did not come easy on the very hard mattress. Because I consider a comfortable bed to be the most important thing a hotel can offer, I was disappointed. The rest of the lodge was top notch though.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Tanzania Safari. The lodge was lovely and clean however, not up to the standard of other Serena lodges.

Compared to others i.e. Ngorongoro, the rooms were small especially the bathroom (shower was around half the size). The pressure of the shower in the bathroom was also very poor and toilette was loosely fixed to the floor.

Other Serena lodges provided us with mats around the bed and bath robes/slippers however, this one did not. It meant when you got out of bed in the morning, you were stepping onto the cold, hard floor.

Dinner and breakfast was lovely with a good selection as were the lunch boxes (however they do get a bit boring with the same things each day including some dry cake and tough rolls).

The location was great for safari and views were spectacular. All in all, a good resort however, could do more to make them the same standard as other Serena lodges!!

We had a great view and sunset from our 1st floor balcony. Zebra wandering around when we arrived. Rooms are comfortable. Beautiful pool -quite cold but my daughter-in-law was brave enough to get in.
The lodge is large and buffet dinner and breakfasts were mediocre. . . serving a lot of people. Box lunches at all the Serena lodges are the same so they do tend to get monotonous.
We found the location for the end of May to be very convenient for us to stay out all day on game drives. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
