A great find in the medina of the Attarine Souk, it is an amazing space and very well refurbished. A nice place to have a break and a drink whilst exploring the medina

A great place to sample a few simple and delicious Tunisian dishes. The food is fresh, the service is agreeable (on the shy side but very nice) and the atmosphere is perfect for a break from shopping in the Souk. The fish couscous was the best I've ever eaten and I've tried quite a few over the years! I definetly recommend this place.

The Abdelkefi family were the originators in the Tunis medina of fine dining and excellent service in Tunis, with their Dar el Jeld restaurant in the kasbah. This newest edition to their restaurant offerings opened fall of 2013. In the heart of the perfume "Souk el perfumerie" in the medina is another great edition. The setting in what is an old "fondouk" or caravanserai type hotel that centuries ago served merchants traveling through has been lovingly designed. Outdoor and indoor seating. A maitre'd who has for years helped ensure great service at Dar el Jeld was there to greet guests and oversee service.

The lunch servings were "plat du jour" and hovered around 25TD (around $17.US) for a hearty and excellent lunch.

Alcohol is not offered.

Enjoy.

Great ambience, good service, and delicious food. Only drawback, no wine. Definitely a place I would visit again.
