Our family of 5 stayed here for the final 2 nights of a photo safari with photocopy travel club. Our only disappointment was we wish we stayed longer! We loved the buffet breakfast, and drinks looking at the wAtering hole. The natural landscaping was amazing...We even met the head landscaper...she was so proud of everything. The staff was fantastic...from helping our group bring donations to a local school to Thomas helping my son locate much loved soccer jerseys. The monkey's, wart hogs, great food and music made our stay magical.

Room Tip: Not a bad location in the place! Take time to enjoy the grounds!

What a wonderful review, thank you so much.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, whilst taking in the serene surroundings of our gardens and wildlife on the property. I am more that certain that your donations to one of the local schools will be put to good use, and that the children deeply appreciate your kind generosity.

We do hope you will visit again some day

Best Regards
Jonathan Hudson

I was extremely dubious about traveling to Mozambique, but decided to give it a go so that I could finally see Victoria Falls. Having been to Niagara Falls and Iguazu Falls, I felt I should complete the big 3. I wound up feeling very comfortable and at home at this hotel.

The hotel has a wonderful location with easy access to the falls by shuttle and good views across the watering hole in front of the lobby/pool/bar areas. The hotel is on a hill and all of the rooms have balconies that overlook the bush.

There are shuttle buses that will take you to the falls, village and airport.

We took most of our meals at the hotel and they were consistently good.

Enjoyed leisure time sitting at the bar and looking for elephants in the bush.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is an activities desk in the lobby to arrange the various things that you can do in the area. We booked the helicopter flight over the falls (best way to really see and appreciate the immensity of the falls) and a day trip into Botswana for a river and land safari there (lots of hippos and elephants). Both were well run and great experiences.

I enjoyed a couple of brief swims in the pool after sweating through the days activites, but our friends thought that it had to much algae.

The room is very nice although it is not as modern as I like to be. The bathroom and amenities could be improved. In general the staff there is very friendly but the lady in the reception area could show more friendliness. It would be nice if we were told, when we checked-in, that their staff would come around 6pm to spray and plug in the electric device for mosquito killer. Then we would not be confused and had to call the reception for help. The first night we didn't see any insects. However the following nights we have giant moths, mosquito and other insects. The bed is covered by the nets however there are holes here and there. So I got a few bites.

In terms of the food: the breakfast was wonderful; the bread and other food were just great. The restaurant offers a wonderful view, just like sitting in our own balcony while enjoying the coffee and food. The service from the restaurant was also exceptional. The only negative thing I would say is the price for dinner is on the high side. Overall the reception and restaurant areas are very nice.

The Lodge is situated on a hill a little outside Victoria Falls, but there is a regular Shuttle Bus to the little town center, to the entry of Victoria Falls Park etc. Location is beautiful and I would go back there at any time. We only took breakfast in the restaurant which was excellent: a big choice of fresh products of high quality. Moreover, from the restaurant as well, we had a wonderful view on the waterhole like from our room 58 where I could have stood the whole day on the balcony! When we arrived, we were greeted by some monkeys on our balcony - this was funny! Staff was very friendly and helpful all the time! Beside this, our room was renovated I think - it looked new and I liked the bathroom with this great shower. If I come back to Vic Falls, I would definetly stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Room Tip: Room 58 has a very nice view to the waterhole

We decided to begin our three week trip through Africa and Madagascar with 3 nights at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. This was the best decision we could have made as it gave us the opportunity to acclimate to a new time zone while enjoying the beautiful grounds. Our room was clean and comfortable, the balcony such a treat! We had a wonderful time sitting on it in early evening, listening to elephants down below tearing up trees and moving through the brush. Meals in the restaurant were very good - their tomato-curry soup is highly recommended and the bream the best fish ever. The gift shop had just opened for business and the ladies in there were lovely and helpful. We visited the falls and did a sunset cruise one day and did the canoe ride on the Zambezi (which included breakfast and lunch) the next - all highly recommended. Nearby Victoria Falls (shuttle to and from hotel very convenient) was fun to walk through - we had a great time and would definitely return to this lovely establishment.

Room Tip: We were in a room a couple of buildings away from the main building, but I believe, from the layout of the buildings, that all of the rooms would be comfortable and quiet.
