We stayed as a part of Kiboko group of 16 for two nights. From the outside, hotel looks very modern two story horseshoe building with impressive entrance and good landscaping. The reception staff and public affairs person were very friendly and helpful. We got a nice room on the second floor overlooking the lawns, swimming pool a glimpses of Zambezi river. Room was rather small but had all the mod-cons, marble floor, bathtub and shower. Bedding, esp. the bottom sheet were thin and worn out, and all pillows were lumpy. I would expect better quality bedding in a 4 star hotel.
On the first night when I folded back the duvet, there was a large critter with wings trapped under my bottom sheet (could see it easily because the sheet was so thin). Subsequently, we spent 30 minutes chasing the bug that flew madly from corner to corner.
Buffet breakfast was adequate but hectic as is usual with the tour groups.
We had a a-la-carte dinner which was great the first night . We ordered exactly same meal next night but it was a lot worse:dry, poor vegetable....Serving staff was not knowledgeble what the dishes contain or what kind of wine by bottle is available.
