And that's certainly true of the Nam Took restaurant! This delightful restaurant, situated upstairs in the Elephant's Walk Shopping Mall, was highly recommended to us by (several) Victoria Falls' locals so decided to give it a try for lunch. What a most enjoyable dining experience that turned out to be with it's authentic, beautifully prepared Thai and Chinese food (thank you chef Toy) at such reasonable prices and exceptional service. Soups and mains seem to start at about US$8 a dish, with desserts from about US$3. How good is that, especially when it's quality plus.
Added to this is the atmosphere of this newly opened restaurant: it's happy, if you know what I mean! The dining and bar area is light and airy and decorated with brightly coloured Chinese lanterns and African pots, lovely teak tables with, again, brightly coloured table mats - and traditional chopsticks available if you so wish.
We enjoyed our visit so much that we made up a small group and went along a couple of days later for dinner where we were warmly greeted and welcomed by host Andy and chef Toy before sitting down to partake of another culinary delight! The Nam Took is highly recommended - we'll certainly be back next year during our annual visit to Zimbabwe.
