The food and entertainment was great here. I DO NOT recommend booking through Wild Horizons. They ended up charging our group $65 a person that included Boma and a transfer from our hotel which is less than 1/2 mile from the establishment. (It is actually on the same grounds as the restaurant.) The meal is usually $40 a person. This does not include your drinks. They have everyone participate in drumming, face painting, dress in African wear, etc. It is a must do! All meats are prepared on request. Food is better than your average buffet.

Thank you for you constructive feedback on you experience with us at The Boma Place of Eating.

I am not into going to “culture shows” of this type. I usually find them pretty boring. HOWEVER, this show was outstanding. The band was over the top. They were good, and they didn’t stop playing. After the show was over, they continued playing for tables. All I can say is, What a deal! The food was good, the service was good, the entertainment was good. It was just of fun. If you are in Victoria Falls, be sure to make this show.

Fantastic! Such a huge variety of food, from soup, salads, veg, meat (including warthog, eland, crocodile, buffalo, bream, all cooked to your standard, in front of you!). Desserts were fabulous too, and lots of choice! Drinks not included in the $40 entry price. You get dressed in traditional african cloth, and entertainment includes drumming and dancing, which you are encouraged to join in with - great fun!

We were given the heads up by our overland guide that Boma would be the extreme version of an African experience geared towards tourists. The staff has you put on some "traditional" attire accompanied by musical instruments for a photo before you're sat for dinner. We arrived with an open mind and a sense of humor so it was fine.

The food was surprisingly delicious. The salad bar was well stocked with lovely breads, cheeses, olives, and prepared salads. Be sure to try the mopani worms as they are actually tasty when dried and salted.

We enjoyed the warthog the most and we tried nearly all the different types of game meat, from crocodile to impala. The warthog was tender and I actually really like the fish they had to offer for those who didn't want to just dine on meat. The atmosphere is lively, but not necessarily romantic. We enjoyed the drum entertainment immensely. We arrived at 7 pm and wish we had arrived about an hour earlier because although we had more than enough to eat, the restaurant staff was removing the food before 9 pm, when they close. It wasn't a problem but since we wanted to try pretty much all we could, we needed more than 2 hours to have time to digest and go back for more.

The service staff was extremely attentive and friendly.

We highly recommend making a stop in Boma during your stay at Vic Falls.

Exotic and very entertaining throughout the eating. A culinary event to never be forgotten. The entertainment was very interactive, from the hello dancers to the dress and face markers. The drumming sequence was a riot. I enjoyed the food and the flair.
