We didn't know about this place until a local recommended it. And boy are we glad we went. A special African experience with amazing food, entertainment and drum playing.
We ate warthog, crocodile, lamb, beef, impala, guinea fowl and African worms (plus so much more you could chose from) all meat was cooked to your liking by talented chefs right in front of your eyes. This is a full traditional African styled buffet. All food was delicious and makes a great way to try local cuisine. Highlight of the night was being given my own drum to play along with the African band (everyone gets a drum). Soooo much fun and laughter.

For a unique special African experience you MUST come to The Boma.

The food is endless! The entertainment was awesome! Cost 40 bucks, but was worth every penny! If you don't go, you will regret it.

We went for the Boma experience as we were staying at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge anyway, and the Boma is on the site. The Boma is called "the place of eating", i tend to think it is the place of experience. I genuinely was impressed by their desire to incorporate local culture into the experience. The singing, the music, the traditional foods. If you dont like loud music, or possibly being asked to volunteer for some fun activities, this might not be for you, but you can always sit away from the centre of the action. The staff are very attentive, the variety of foods is ok. What i liked the most re: the food was a small serving of starters consisting of local fare, i thought that was a nice touch. I also think the Boma is something that i did once and wont be doing again as that might spoil the wonderful memory, unless i am going with a new group of people.

We were a group of 14 people and had reservations. The staff were friendly and welcoming and our table was waiting. The overall atmosphere seemed very touristy and loud. Not a place to go to enjoy a pleasant evening dining and talking. Audience participation in dancing, drumming and chanting made up most of the entertainment offering. Food certainly was plentiful but nothing gourmet-including the traditional sampling of Mopani worms and warthog steak. We were with family and friends so that made the evening special but I would not choose to go there again as a couple. One experience is enough. A bit pricey but I think that is because of the tourist attraction factor .
