“A gem of a restaurant in the midst of a shady Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

The food here was excellent and very Portuguese in style and in flavor.

We got here a bit early and had to sit outside to wait for them to open. The neighborhood is definitely shady, but they have some metal dividers/fencing to separate the restaurant from the street, so it feel pretty safe. The service here is very upscale and the food is excellent and full of flavor. There were lots of other Expats dinning, so we know that it is a good safe place to eat.

“Probably the best restaurant in town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 January 2013

Pimm's has a name for a reason. The food is excellent and so is the service. Price unfortunately follows. Good choice for the whisky lovers. Very good location for a business dinner as well as a romantic one.

“Excellent but toooo EXPENSIVE”

Tasty European and Angolan cuisine. Excellent wine diversity where to choose from. The best place for a business lunch / diner. Parking is very difficult.
Excellent service and food but toooo Expensive!

“Great Food, Big Price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2012

My fiancé and I have been doing the rounds on most of the nice Luanda restaurants of late and we both really enjoyed Pimms. It doesn't look much from the outside (as with most places in Luanda) but the inside is really quite cosy if not a little dated looking. The service was good and they will immediately bring you appetisers (bread and meats) but they will charge you for this. We shared one starter (fish carpaccio which was excellent!) and had a main each (fish stew and fish with garlic and potatoes) Both were really good and actually quite generous in size. We also shared a bottle of wine and the total bill come to just over US$200 It has to be said though, the service was spot on the the food was definitely good quality. I can see why it is highly rated. The only reason I marked it down slightly is because of the price tag.

“In Luanda, the best to date”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2012

I have visited most of the top rated restaurants in Luanda recently and Pimms stands out.

The facade is understated but the decor within is welcoming and cosy with one half of the restaurant taking a modern look and the main area being more traditional. All areas are very clean. The staff are very attentive and some speak good English (although my Portuguese is coming on).

Menu is 2/3rds fish but still a good for red meat eaters. As you sit down a basket of bread and pllate of ham is brought to the table (charged AOA12,000 each). We shared the fish carpaccio and it was 1st class. Mains are also generous, the fish stew and grilled grouper with baked potatoes are both reccommended. The desert and cheese trolley looked fantastic but we were full!

We'll be back....
