We had a lovely stay at Abbaba's Villa and I enjoyed relaxing in the garden and chatting to Eyo's friendly staff who seem to be very happy working there as well as to her 5 lovely, friendly dogs! The home-cooked food gives a chance to try some interesting local dishes without having to navigate a tricky menu and Eyo had lots of tips for our onwards travels which proved really helpful.

We stayed at Ababa's Villa twice during our trip to Ethiopia, and it was brilliant being somewhere that felt like a home rather than a hotel. The living room is beautifully furnished with lots of family treasures, the rooms are comfortable, and Eyo and her team are all incredibly welcoming and helpful. The only slight drawback is the taxi ride into the city centre, but it is lovely being up out of the smog and in a peaceful garden. Would definitely go back.

We stayed at Abbabas Villa on our first few nights of being in Ethiopia and also on our last day. Eyo made us feel so welcome, spending time with us, and helping with our understanding and appreciation of such an interesting country. Her house is like an ethiopian museum and had a beautiful soul . Her staff were very friendly and inviting.......and cooked absolutely lovely food! I had the added experience of a 'birthday surprise' Ethiopian coffee ceremony which was amazing and Eyo was happy to organise and accommodate this. We feel that visiting Abbabas Villa was a perfect start to a wonderful holiday and we hope very much to return there some day. Eyo.... thank you so much.

I stayed for four nights and even though I was the only person staying there, I was made to feel right at home - I had lunch with the owner and some of her friends shortly after arrival, was given the run of the house and dropped off places by the owner when I was going her way, and even ended up as part of a 50-person family reunion on my last day, playing football in the yard with a dozen of her nieces and nephews! Make sure to tell the cook if you like your food spicy (beri-beri), as the first food she made for me was clearly starter-food for tourists and nowhere near as amazing as the food that I had at the family reunion!

We stayed at the Abbaba's Villa for 4 nights while attending a conference in Addis Ababa. We booked two joined rooms, which was perfect for our family. The house is unique in many ways: from eclectic decor to off-the-beaten-path location to warmth of the people who work there... Waking up in the morning, we just had a feeling that we are visiting a distant aunt in her country house - it's just this cozy, warm and welcoming feeling. The breakfast was very good (though if you stay for a while, some variety would have been nice. That said, all tenants were welcome to use the fridge and bring their favorite foods to the table) and we ate several delicious dinners at the house. We brought our 18-month old daughter with us and she enjoyed the horses and the large yard, as well as playing with other kids and exploring all the mysteries of the house. The location was a bit far from town, but the conference provided a shuttle and it was fun to see the parts of Addis on the way to Abbaba's that we wouldn't have otherwise seen- the life of the ordinary Addis residents, away from the tourist attractions.

Lovely B&B. Set outside the city center, the grounds were lovely and the house exudes atmosphere. Fabulous meals and very friendly service. Felt like a home away from home. As with most Ethiopian hotels, good earplugs are useful for light sleepers. Perfect for the traveler who wants to get away from it all & does not mind a taxi ride into the city.

We spent 4 nights at Ababa´s Villa, which is situated on a hill in the northeastern part of Addis. There are a lot of eucalyptus trees and it is very quiet. The whole stay was a big pleasure. The slogan of the guesthouse "love, peace and respect to all" is alive and we felt it during our stay. Jeruz is such a kind host and toghether with her team, she made our stay unforgetable. We enjoyed the garden, the terrace and of course our spacious room. The bathroom was luxury and very clean. The breakfast was fantastic and we loved to have the possiblity to enjoy dinner at Ababa´s Villa, which was delicious. Our son fell in love with one of the dogs called Buddy. The convenient stay and the big help from Jeruz was a big present for us. We will come back again!
