“heaps of fun”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

I am not really able to rate the food as I am not used to tradtional ethiopian food - I enjoyed.

BUT the entertainment - singing and dancing were really a lot of fun - I really enjoyed.

Hard for me to rate value as my work paid.

“Great Ethiopian food”

A bit of a tourist trap but the atmosphere and great service make up for it. Loved the ambience and sounds

“The best traditional experience in Addis”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

At the heart of the city and therefore easily accessible from Bole road.
The ambience is really good and gives you this feeling of like you are in the rural setup in ancient times yet but the service reminds you that you are still in the city.

Very professional staff and the food great but if you come expecting exotic cuisines here, am sorry. everything from the serving dishes and related utensils is antique.

for those not accustomed to mouth watering hot & spicy Ethiopian dishes, an occasional sip of water or juice will cool off your tongue.

The songs & dances are just too rich in entertainment and if you find yourself unable to clear your plate due to the hot spices, this session will leave you fulfilled completely. The organizers are also conscious of visitors from neighboring countries & divergent cultures like Arabic and a song n dance here and there from Kenya or the Sudan will not be uncommon.

given the number of patrons who frequent this place, it's obvious that the restaurant is popular with foreigners and local a like.

“A little bit touristic, but a good restaurant”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

The restaurant offers a wide choice of traditional Ethiopian food, which is normally very good. So it is a good choice if someone wants to taste different Ethiopian specialties, which may be somehow difficult to find in many small restaurants (eg., doro wot, kay wot). The shows with dancers and singers make the atmosphere a little bit for tourists. But it is a good choice anyway.
