“Excellent place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

I was wandering up and down the street that leads to the "Louis" nightlife district, looking for somewhere to have dinner, and was very fortunate to stumble into this place. Nice decor, open air porch-like seating. Small bar also. Lots of expats eating here. The food I ordered (grilled chicken skewer and chips) was very good. Service was a bit slow because the place really filled up and they seemed a bit understaffed for the demand, but overall an excellent experience.

“Best Langoustines I ever had.........also the meat dishes are delectable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2014

I ate here 4 times during my 2 week stay in Gabon. The food is especially good and I love how the meats are grilled over a huge fire in the kitchen. You can see the food being prepared from some of the tables. The tables are nicely arranged on a beautifully constructed wooden porch. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing which enhances a Regab or Castel. I had the langoustines twice and the sauce is amazing. I wanted to lick the plate but didn't want to offend any other patrons. On two of the occasions, I ventured out and tried a couple of other exotics such as: python, porcupine, crocodile, antelope and water buffalo. The python is edible, the porcupine has a distinct flavor but too many bones to contend with. I found myself picking out about 50 small bones through out the plate. The crocodile was similar to alligator and I would eat anytime it was available. The water buffalo was grilled to perfection and tasted as good as any beef steak. The antelope was comparable to the American Pronghorn.

Overall this establishment is in my top 5 places to dine in Libreville.

“Hidden behind a fence”

Good food and good service and less expensive than some other restaurants in the area. Although not quite on sea front the restaurant is located just a little way inland.

“Local cuisine at its best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2013

The menu is comprehensive. the location in the heart of Libreville.
The wooden decks , in the garden , with those sealing fans breathing some fresh air on you while enjoying the local fair.
I truly enjoyed my meal at l'Odika and will definitly return their when next in LBV.
