There are some rooms at very cheap rate which are not very comfortable (no windows), but the bigger rooms are good value. Clean, big, comfortable. No pretentions. The hotel is located in an area with ample choice in restaurants and entertainment. I prefer this hotel to the '5 star' hotels which go at double the price. Reservations at tel +24101778185

Room Tip: Upper floor rooms are easier to get at, more comfortable.

Its a small BB in the middle of Libreville. Its in a very secluded area and it was safe- could walk around even at night and had no problem at all!
The owner is a Chinese lady from Shanghai who was very kind...the facility is very old and has no decoration whatsoever, but the rooms are always clean and the place is good value compared to what you pay for regular hotels in Libreville.
They have a few bars and restaurants around this place, and sometimes it may get a little bit noisy...
The rooms are located either in the ground floor or at the basement...I stayed at the basement and it was very noisy...but again, my expectations were not very high so ok with it!

Do not have great expectations with the Lotus Bleu: this is not a Chinese palace but a well-managed hotel by a Chinese couple. No restaurant but continental breakfast and bar service. Rooms are basic but clean.
The location in Montagne Sacree may not be as convenient as Quartier Louis but it is close to other restaurants and bars. It is quiet also with not much traffic on the road.

Reviewing the comments on this website for our first visit to this country, my colleague and I decided to stay at this hotel for a 2-day business rather than other big ones which are more expensive than our daily allowances. The hotel’s home-like front desk/bar counter welcome guests, and the rooms we got near the bar counter were clean and cozy with a good air conditioner/small TV.

The bathroom is also solid and I got hot water with a good water pressure. The room was close enough to the network box located in the bar counter, and so I got a good connection of the internet. Just sometimes what happened was that the owner turned off the internet during the night. If you choose rooms without internet access, you could come to the bar when using the internet.

Breakfast (baguette, omelet, juice, and coffee) was available at an additional cost of CFA 5000. The hotel is in the town and so you can easily get a taxi on the street. By the way, I paid CFA 5000 from the airport to the hotel but my colleague got it down to CFA 2000. We found out later that wherever you go in the town CFA 2000 would do.

Most of the review comments posted on this hotel here seem correct.

The downside of the hotel as my contribution was that we had to ask our local counterpart to pay 1 day room charge in advance cash. There was no phone in the room, either, and it was a bit difficult as we needed to make a couple of business phone calls. Our business counterpart told us there are some more hotels like this one (inexpensive and good conditions) in the town.

If I have a chance to come back to Gabon, I would explore other hotels, but this one would be also definitely one of my choices for a short-business trip.

Its a very affordable hotel...close to a few restaurants- 10 to 15 min walking distance.
I have been to the Le Meridien in Libreville last time I was in Gabon and if you compare both of the hotels, this one wins by a big margin....Le Meridien is expensive and does not have the price justified by the product they deliver. Although they try to execute the brand standard, they are way below expectation
Lotus is cheaper, doesnt have anything fancy but it gives guests the simplest of the simple hotel needs: Rooms are clean, showers are hot, clean sheets, nothing fancy but great hospitality by the owner and the employee, hence its within expectation.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would refer to my friends...

Room Tip: Dont stay at room 7 because it has a window directly to a laundry facility...if you are a light slee...

This basic clean hotel is an option for short business stays where you just need a clean room and a working internet connection.
