This is the best boutique hotel in Libreville. Stylish & chic - I've never seen such attention to detail with respect to furnishings and decoration. The staff are very accommodating and very well trained on how to serve. They anticipate your needs. The hotel is very expensive, as are all the good options in Libreville, but this will change as more high quality hotels come open in the coming months & years.

The restaurant is small but prepares delicious French and local dishes. Definitely gourmet and definitely expensive (my appetizer, main course and can of Diet Coke came to US$76).

There's a beautiful swimming pool in the courtyard and some very comfortable lounge chairs to relax in. The property overlooks the estuary/sea, but I wouldn't call this beach front ... the beach & water are not for swimming in this part of town - too dirty.

The rooms are beautiful, but curiously, the bathrooms in the "Baignoire" category are tight. I actually liked the less-expensive Standard room better (I stayed in both).

Internet is s-l-o-w but free. The hotel offers airport pickup/dropoff but at $60, use a taxi instead ($8 max).

Very happy to have stayed here, but my wallet is much lighter after departure.

This brand new hotel is perfecly located next to the dying Méridien.
Everything in this place is of great quality. The rooms are the best in town and give you access to a residents only pool with sea view.
The main event for us however, as we have not spent a night there yet, is the terrasse.
Hanging over the sea, it is covered with white sand and has a great sea view.
It is on this terrasse that you can have the best brunch in town. The starters are delicious: scrambled eggs, homemade yoghurt and a fresh fruit salad. The main course takes it all with a grilled beef to die for and then comes the delicious pastries.
All of this accompanied by fresh pressed juices and a great selection of tea and coffee.
Paradise!

I had made a reservation at the Hotel Le Cristal in Libreville. Through a rather amazing turn of events (read the review), I ended up here. I could not have asked for anything nicer. In fact, for my personal taste, I found this property to be more intimate and less business oriented than the Le Cristal. All the rooms are arranged around a central courtyard where there is a magnificent pool. There are lounges right outside the sliding glass door of each room. The rooms themselves are clean, new and modern as are the bathrooms. The bathroom amenities are lovely. The food is absolutely amazing and breakfast is included (have an omlette with everything and a couple of warm chocolate croissants.) Minor only minor complaints are that there is only one English television station (CNN) and you MUST leave your air conditioner on even when you leave the room or it becomes overheated quickly in the African temperatures. I don't know why this is not one of the top 2 hotels in Libreville (maybe because it is brand new?), but it should be.
