Excellent!. excellent! excellent!. What else can I say. From the pickup at the hotel to our arrival at the hotel. The staff are so warm and friendly and truly professional(eric, theresa e.t.c). The rooms are just right. The only minus is d pool. It was not exciting enough. Plus the mosquitoes. The best thing about this hotel to me is the food. The food is magnificent and superb. I would definitelty come here again.

Stay at Labadi hotel if you must have the beach, prepare:
1. The hotel does not have an actual beach, it is only a fenced piece of sand next to the hotel, the water is a walk away and the beach is public, the hotel area beach it is not good for swimming.
2. Once you hit the beach you are swarmed and continuously bugged by hawkers and sellers.
3. Noise: construction and renovation is going on until March-June 2014 (Hotel says January)
4. Hotel is booked so you will accept any room they offer you, ours was at the entrance, the doors slammed very often and we slept little, on the other side was where the construction cars passed at 6am, and all the drivers, staff passed by.
We decided to cut our stay short and the hotel was more than happy to have our room.
5. Window does not close properly and not insulated so expect a lot of noise, the lock mechanism is a stick to prevent the door from opening from the outside and stop intruders
6. Small rooms good for singles not couples
7. Room hardware does not operate properly, I cleaned one drain, the other could not
8. Stench smell as there are stagnant, mosquitos infested pools on the premises
9. Location relative to the city is far and due to bad traffic so it is not convenient to be in and out
10. Food menu is limited, same as at all the restaurants inside the hotel and the food is of medium quality.
Service is very good; staff is very nice but better stay somewhere else and pay the entrance fee if you must go to the beach.

Thank you for staying with us at Labadi Beach Hotel. We do appreciate the time taken to give us feedback.

I wish to assure you that management has taken steps to address the issues raised. However, it is worth noting that although the Beach is a public beach, the hotel has acquired a portion, which is cordon off, and has 24hour security at post. This area is kept clean and free of hawkers, and has a bar attached to serve our guests.

For added security, a specially made baton is used to lock the balcony sliding door in addition to the original lock. This system is in all 164 rooms in the hotel.

The hotel has seven room types, ranging from floor sizes of 25.33m² to 122m². The smallest of the room types has a floor size of 25.33m² excluding the balcony.

A Lagoon (Kpeshie Lagoon as it is called) flows through a portion of the hotel’s gardens. It is not stagnant and has aquatic life. We have also developed a mechanism which pumps fresh water into the lagoon thus enhancing the aeration. The hotel also follows the WHO approved standard in larviciding. With these, the lagoon does not get invested with mosquitoes.

Once again, thank you for the feedback.

Great hotel, spectacular rooms, excellent food with customer service- oriented personnel. Professionalism is indeed the hallmark of the staff-always paying attention to details. I had a vacation of a life time with my family. The honesty of the personnel cannot be overlooked as my IPAD which I left by the poolside was returned to me. The private beach is the top of the notch. Even though prices are a bit on the high side, its still value for money.

Room Tip: The luxury block which is very spacious and overlooks the beach

My husband and I are experienced travelers. We stayed in the Labadi Beach Hotel during October, a charming authentic hotel with all the comforts of home, including great Wifi. Our overall experience was very pleasant and relaxing. We stayed in the Royal Suite, which comprises of a bedroom, a sitting room with the best tea selection and a great coffee machine, two bathrooms, two large LCD TVs, a veranda overlooking the pool area, altogether very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a large buffet style, with everything you'd like to eat, including Ghanaian delights. Local families arrive at weekends to enjoy the delicious food, making a family atmosphere. The chef makes his food very tasty. Dinner service is also good with a large buffet, the plantains are very good, or ala carte service. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which is hard to find these days in the larger chain hotels. The pool area is very pleasant with grass and trees, and good pool service. The Hotel is almost situated on a public beach but the Labadi has blocked off it's own area with Palm trees etc. so you can enjoy your privacy, service is also good here. The security is excellent, no need to worry about over zealous local vendors here. At the same time you can see and sample the local entertainment. A walk up the large white sandy beach is a must, with it's cafés and restaurants. There's a continuous party atmosphere with locals selling their wares. In general, I felt very safe and the Ghanaians are lovely people, good humoured and fun. Would recommend this hotel and hope we can return there sometime.

I have been staying here for business and pleasure for over 20 years. Great food ! An African buffet to die for Ask to try their fried plantain/kelewele. Spotless well laid out rooms Those in the annexe make up in size what they loose a bit in atmosphere. This hotel is where HM The Queen stayed on her most recent state visit. The service is attentive courteous warm but never obsequious .Ghanians are a hospitable but proud people The design uses local wood and stone Everything about this place is authentic..Beach access with service on the beach is superb and safe.Pool and hotel ringed by palms and tropical gardens. Spa and gym pretty rudimentary. The beach and pool are what its all about here.Good fast wifi and Cable TV.None of the above comes cheap and its never easy to get a booking. This despite increasing competition remains the place to stay in Accra but its certainly worth it.

Room Tip: None will disappoint but I prefer an upper floor room or suite and for size the Annexe.
