“Authentic, pricey for the locals”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

We really enjoyed the food here. Very authentic, spicy and great rice (served in traditional Thai rice baskets). The Thai iced tea was great too.

In the end the meal was about 50,000 AR ($20) which really isn't that expensive, but when you compare it to the 4,000AR street food we got the other day that was delicious, it is. We got the chicken panang curry, rice, shrimp fried rice, a beer and two Thai iced teas.

Worth it if you're craving Thai!!

“Finally, exciting food in Tana - as in spicy!”
Reviewed 17 October 2013

Been here in Mada four weeks now and I'm finding the food all very much the same. Five of us went to Ozone last night and before the end of our starters we were all decided on coming back. Ozone is a breath of fresh air. The menu is extensive, it has tastebud-popping food. Prices were reasonable, our bill for 5 starters, 5 mains, sides of vegetables/rice and 6 large THB beers was 175,000 ariary (+/-$80). [just as the Club sandwich is the international test of hotel pool food, so it is that green papaya salad is the test for Thai eateries. mine was as good as anything you would get in Bangkok..cannot say much more].

“Authentic Thai”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

Wide selection of dishes. Food is moderately priced, but the price for Maj Taj was a shock - double the price of other cocktails - 12,000 Ariary ($5)!!! Food was very spicy - we asked for mild but it turned out to be very spicy anyways. Other than that only positive impressions - the food is tasty, lots of options of stir fries. A pleasant place you would eventually go back to.

“Authentic Thai food and great music in Tana”
Reviewed 17 May 2013

Ozone was a great find in Tana! The food was great, pretty authentic, and a good value. I had the Tom Kha Gai (my favorite Thai dish), and was not at all disappointed. They also have Thai iced tea, with an extra kick of vanilla to remind you that you're in Madagascar :)

The service was very quick and friendly. The night I was there (and I think most nights), there was live music, and even a bit of impromptu karaoke, which made a fun ambiance.

Central location downtown, not far from Sakamanga hotel/restaurant. Can't wait to go back!
