It’s my 4th time in Le Comme Chez Soi and I’m sure that this will not be my last time. The rooms are very basic but you will have an AC, warm shower, free breakfast ( Coffee or thee, juice, bread, egg, jam and a yogurt) and free WIFI. They also have a nice restaurant with good food and nice cocktails and a nice garden with a small pool ( very cold water;) ) If you are looking for Luxury, this is not the place to be but if you are looking for a nice and relaxed place, than you are at the right address.

I spent a long week-end here and felt at home. Pick-up at the airport, six rooms, mosquito net, ceiling fan, air-con, unobtrusive, but attentive service, clean, decent price and good location. Good bars and restaurants within walking distance. What more do you want?

Coming by car to the entrance of this Hotel you might be shocked ( waste overall ). Coming into the yard, the picture is changing ! Clean rooms, air-contioned, shower is running with hot water !
On a nice terasse you can enjoy perfect food. Advisable is room Nr. 1 ! For about 70$ you will have a perfect night.

Room Tip: as I said above, room Nr. 1

Didn't think this establishment was anything other than ordinary, although staff is trained up and friendly, even with proprietor not on the scene. Restaurant during this stay was shutdown, unopened, other than for the breakfast. Maybe they were the main attraction for Chez Soi because the rooms here are entirely ordinary, basic actually. Some have shared bathrooms, the two in front get noise from the office and pool area as well as light. Yes, we know it's Bamako, but even in context this is not a special or destination hotel. Pool is quite small and not especially inviting. Of course, for anyone with small expectations or accustomed to backpack hostel, this might be the lap of luxury to you. Situated at junction of two unpaved and rutted thoroughfares (the norm in this town) in midst of essentially nothing, the area becomes a quagmire anytime there's rain.

This review will be easy to write:

If you're in Bamako, stay here.

That's really all you need to know. You wont' do better for price and still have a nice place. The food is *amazing,* and the staff is the best I've ever had in Mali.

More details:
Stayed for two weeks on one trip, and one week the next. Everything on the menu is good. Most are excellent. The AC never quit (they have generators) and the pool is fantastic. The rooms are very clean, very well maintained, and the hot showers are a dream come true if you've just arrived.

I've stayed in many, many name brand hotels all over this part of the world. Skip the blue. Stay here and visit the blue if you must, but stay at Comme Chez Soi.

Room Tip: If you can get the private bungalow just behind the pool, go for it.

We stayed 1 night in the bungalow and 2 nights in the triple room. Try the bungalow, very nice. The place itself wasn't easy to find, taxi driver asked 4-5times (it usually happens in Africa) until we finally made it there. The owner is very kind. I really respect genuine people who are doing what they like, and she is one of them.

Restaurant serves food with great tastes, although it is closed on Sunday evenings and on Mondays. Beware of the mosquitos by the pool, they are sneaky.

Recommended.
