An excellent for those who like mountain climbing but who dont want go get tired too much.
A perfect place to admire the country through a different angle.
Almoste near the cloubs.
Can be climb in less an hour and have a picnic up then down after some pictures.
The tracks is easily accessible and dont forget your sun cream or ur coat in case it rains.

Upon hiking Le Pouce mountain, you can get a 360 degree aerial view of Mauritius.
It is very easy too.

“Pleasant hike”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2011

Easy 1-2 hour hike (ca 400m altitude gain) from St Pierre village, no guides required, the path is clearly defined most of the way. The approach can be a bit wet and slippery in August (winter in Mauritius), but no ropes/security is required. Can also hike from Port Louis but its much longer as the altitude gain is ca 800m. Nice 360 deg view from the top.

“Thumbs up”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2009

Part of the Moka mountain range. If you clench your fist with the thumb raised and its upper outline is exactly that of Le Pouce Mountain as seen from Port Louis. Le Pouce or 'the thumb' is the third highest mountain on Mauritius at 811 metres and the one that most people climb for its 360 degree view.
