I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights because we had a large conference in their facilities.
The hotel is extremely bare and bland, it has no character whatsoever. Formally, it may have all the features of a 5*-Hotel, but everything is of the minimum. Start with the sausages on the breakfast buffet (they look like the cheapest, offputting sausages of all Maputo), the bathrooms need an urgent make-over, the restaurant has the character of a canteen.
I don't mind any of this, if it is a standard hotel, but not a 5*! For a lower price you can go to the great hotels of Maputo (if you look for a good online deal) - this is really bad value for money.
For lunch you only get the full buffet for MZN 860 - very expensive. Across the street in a small restaurant, you get a better meal for 1/3 of this price!
But worst of all, after 2 nights, there was no more hot water. I complained with the reception and they promised to fix it. I trusted them (although there didn't really seem to bother) - what a mistake! The next morning, there was still no hot water. In a 5*-Hotel - for MZN 6800/night! I complained during check-out, asking them for a discount (after all I had paid for a room incl. hot water!). Very reluctantly they wanted to give me a 10% for the second night....I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights because we had a large conference in their facilities.

Only after insisting I also got it for the first. That was really shameful.
While I was complaining, there were guests next to me at the reception desk, doing the same. They gave them a suit for ironing, and it had disappeared for 48 hours!
