“Slow down”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

Etosha needs to be savoured therefore spend one or even two nights here.
Its very advisable to make a reservation. The staff couldn't care less if you have nowhere to sleep and when they are full you will not get in.
Campers beware often your allotted space may be gone (squatters) if you arrive late to camp. The staff can be very indifferent.
The park is vast and you drive from camp to camp (The camps are enclosed and safe otherwise you need to stay on the road and don’t worry there are safe zones to park for WC etc) You are not allowed outside the camps during darkness.
Two tips: Get up early, take your time, don’t speed around the roads you will miss so much, believe me. Secondly go to the areas where there is water, wait and you will be rewarded.
Otherwise enjoy, and again don’t expect too much service from the staff.

“Rubish”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

This was the biggest disappointment ever, bad service ,inconsistent times for restaurant and when your room is available ,road works inside park with road working drivers not stopping for animals, The Buffet supper is lovely if you like a plate full of bones. Waiters that rather watch tv instead of serving. Rather go to Kruger National Park in South Africa or maybe Kaudum..
This is a prime example of how to run a national asset into the ground. BAD BAD BAD.

“Etosha experience - August 2013”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

We camped in a tent for two nights at Okaukeujo and 1 night at Namutoni. The wildlife around the man made waterholes are wonderful but unfortunately the western side with the most man made water holes are only open for tour operators. The ablutions at the campsites were not functioning properly, with too many visitors per ablution. The ablutions really needs urgent attention. But I absolutely loved the view at the Etosha viewsite and the wildlife.

“Breathtaking”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

I felt like I was in my grade school textbooks! I was in Africa seeing wildlife up close and personal in their natural environment as they usually behave. It was absolutely amazing. Watching the elephant just outside the car eating lunch and the rhino just before we pulled in to the lodge before the evening. My wife spotting a lion 700 yards away camouflaged in the golden grass and the zebra at another waterhole staring at two lions napping in the shade of a tree. The giraffe gracefully stretching for some water, the elephants playing in the water getting mud all over them, and the zebras, two by two, resting on each other for an afternoon nap. Just absolutely amazing.

Go, drive, and see all of these amazing animals.

Zoos in America will never be the same again.

“Nice park to see a lot of animals”
Reviewed 6 September 2013

We stayed 3 nights: 1 at Okaukeujo, 1 at Halali and 1 at Namutoni. Best campsite: Halali. Best waterhole: Okaukeujo (lots of animals day and night). We were a bit disappointed by Namutoni (bathrooms are not so good, waterhole is small and we never saw anything). At the waterhole in Halali we saw a group of 25 elephants during one hour, it was a great experience to see the social live of this wonderful animals during that time. There was a black rhino too, trying to go to the water but the elephants didn't allow him till the very young ones had left.
