“The place all the locals go to”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

We went on a Tuesday evening and the customers were queing down the street! Tables were close to gether and the restaurant was completely full. Food was excellent - typical Italian style fare - we had a pizza and grilled fish. Service was attentive and atmosphere was good - friendly staff and owners

“Huge portions and very affordable !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

So inexpensive compered with other similar dining establishments in the area. As it get extremely busy in the evening, booking a table in advance is advisable.
We were surprised at the ample size of our starters (Salad and Calamari)., we were so full afterwards we couldn't finish our pizzas, which were absolutely lovely, we were leaving the flowing day for home or we'd have taken up the waitresses offer of a doggy bag.

“You must be joking!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

If you like the idea of being squeezed in like sardines, having the waiters continually bump you as they try to move between tables and instead of some nice music in the background you just hear the managers shouting at the chefs in the kitchen...........then you will love this place. It is so packed you cant relax what with all the waiters running and people shouting at each other. Exhausting. Solution to owners - remove a few tables then the kitchen can cope and all your customers will be happy - or is it all about being greedy?

Its really not authentic Italian either but similar to franchise food. I'm not saying the food is bad - just mediocre. Worst is the waiting - 1st for menus, then to place an order then the long wait for food.............wow - we could not wait to get out of there!!! Perhaps if you are in a big group it would be fine - but as a couple we hated it. Prices are on the high end too.

For the same prices I would rather eat at The Stellenbosch just down the road any day - that is a proper restaurant - not at all like this over-rated troughing house.
