Perfect and very romantic place on top of the hill with excellent view over Windhoek. Reasonably (for best city hotel) priced meals. Decent service. Must visit for \Windhoek

We went with high expectations to Heinitzburg and sadly, high price does not equal high quality.

The view is excellent!

The tables are in the open and would only have great atmosphere when it is a wind still evening. Sadly it was windy. We were rushed to place our order and the fillet steak is watery vegetable soup was the worst meal I had in any restaurant ever.

We paid 50% more for what we would have paid in any family franchised restaurant and would have enjoyed that moch more.

Consider to cover the tables from wind, allow guests to order when they are ready, give more options and forget about european cuisine, stick to good old Namibian and South African meat preparation.... bry, fry or bake, but not in water.

“Over Rated and over priced”
Reviewed 8 February 2012

Food was average, not well presented, service was extremley slow, price not worth the visit. Wine selection good. Desert selection good. Seated inside is really atmosphere free and shocking. Outside el fresco has beautifull views over the city. Great place for sundowners, afternoon tea and cake. For a dinner.............

“Elegant, trendy ... A special occasion treat”
Reviewed 12 January 2012

Restaurant located in Heinitzburg hotel. A beautiful setting. Restaurant has fabulous views of Windhoek. Background. Music is soothing, subtle mixture of old and new, adding to the general feel of the restaurant. Very trendy, art nouveau decor. Service very efficient. Menu small but well thought out. Great presentation, even better taste. My partner ad a chefs salad which looked good, dressing w great... For my taste a little more green bits would have improved it but my partner loved it. I had a eland carpaccio followed by oryx steak. Done to perfection arrived with a tiny portion of bell leper flavored penta and a tiny portion of leek in cream sauce on a bed of red onion. Very nice indeed. Wine list extensive, including some very nice but also expensive ones from the special cellar.
