Yes, you are better off with a car here and we also got a little turned around by the revised street names, but arriving we knew we had made the right choice for starting our self-drive safari through Namibia. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and they made us reservations for dinner soon after we arrived.

The room was in their new wing and it was gorgeous with plenty of heat, which is necessary in winter there. Also- and we hadn't seen this before - they had a free mini bar. Pretty great. Topped off by a delicious hot breakfast, this was the best way to recharge after the long flight and begin our journey.

First let me say, it was really hard to find, due to some change in street names. What was on the street and on the map was not the same. The rooms are nice, clean, quiet, the breakfast had everything you wanted and the staff was friendly. Parking is small and tight if you come in a big car (land rover). The do take credit card with out upcharge, the price is on the higher side.

We stayed at Villa Moringa for our first and last nights in Namibia. The rooms were of a very high standard, spacious, modern and luxurious. The breakfasts were excellent with the widest range and highest quality we experienced during our holiday. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and made us feel really at home.
I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone needing a base in Windhoek

Room Tip: Rooms 3 and 4 were very spacious and luxurious with large bathrooms

We stayed in Villa Moringa for 3 nights, 2 upon arrival to Windhoek and one upon departure. Given that we arrived quite early we were pleasantly surprised to find our room ready, nice start to our holiday after 18hrs on the planes. Both rooms were really lovely, spotlessly clean and smelling of clean linen. Beds comfy, LCD TV with loads of channels. Breakfast fantastic! All staff nice and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. On our first night the landlady (the owners live in house next door) booked us dinner at Jo's Beerhouse (recommended - especially if you'd like to taste game) and called us a taxi. They will be hiring professional cook from Portugal, so if you feel lazy you'll have the option of eating in.

Taxi to/from the city is $50-60 NMB. Owers/Janine are more than happy to call a taxi for you or get one of their staff to drop you off.

All in all highly recommended. I would not hesitate for a second to go back there! Wonderful property with wonderful people!

Room Tip: Avoid room 1 unless travelling as a family. The double doors are not soundproof.

The assistant manager Janine Heinz is just a wonderful person who makes you feel at home and really cares about her guests. We had an excellent welcome. They are so service oriented and helpful with anything. It's a quiet guesthouse outside the center of Windhoek but within an easy drive range. You do need a car though, I wouldn't recommend walking. The rooms are beautifully designed, as is the whole place. Wifi works fine in the room and outside. Breakfast was great. This is a definite place to come back to. A huge compliment for Janine!

Conveniently located in Klein Windhoek, which is close to the CBD and other areas of interest.Very cozy room, nice spacious bathroom, with shower and tub but no door to the bathroom which was a big negative.
Had fridge and tea making facilities with TV but few channel options compared to those advertised. Also while there, we did not enjoy the free WIFI or aircon as they did not work.
Service was good enough, buffet breakfast was okay.
Would recommend it.

Room Tip: Go for the VIP rooms......is more spacious with very nice decor.

We stayed at this very well kept guest house at the beginning and at the end of our vacation. It's a wonderful place with great hosts and a nice ambiance. We had two different types of rooms and both were simply great. Thanks again Rosalina and Pedro for the lovely upgrade and all the travel informations. Thanks to you we enjoyed a lovely trip. We can highly recommend this guest house!!
