The Hilton Hotel is world renowned for its glamorous look and and feel. When the new Hilton Windhoek opened its doors we were very excited to dine at the hotel's restaurant (e-kipa), but were dissapointed with the level of service and food quality. Giving a new restaurant some time for "growing pains" we went there again a few months later and it was as if the service has just gone from bad to worse and almost half of the food on the menu was "not available". Since this is unacceptable for a restaurant in a world class hotel, we wrote an email to the manager to complain. At that time there was a change in mangement and we were invited for a complimentary dinner for 4. Great was our delight to experience a huge improvement in both service and food quality when we returned for our 3rd visit. The bufet now has a "grill" option where you can choose fresh (raw) cuts of meat to be prepared to your liking and then served with the rest of the very tasty bufet. Meats include steaks (various cuts), Norwegian Salmon, duck breast and more. Gone are the predictable bufet dishes and a hearty welcome to some imaginative fine dining options to the bufet. We will certainly return as happy customers again! Well done to the new management (Roman Kopacek) and his team.
