A game park you can walk in. Escape the confines of your car and take a walk through this scenic reserve clsoe to Windhoek. As you may guess, no serious predators to threaten you, but some great views and the chance of seeing zebra, giraffe and antelope (tread softly!). All on Windhoek's doorstep. And take your swimmers to cool off in the pool. I didn't, and regretted it ;)

scenery and park are great! I love the herds of giraffes roaming free for all to see. The roads are good and it is not too crowded. Near to the city and easy to access.

Very close to Windhoek. Great place to find birding specials. Accommodation is quite expensive but close enough to nature and town.

We did not stay at the Reserve, so have no comment to make on the accomodation etc. We were there to see the wildlife and for this the Reserve is great. There were several large mammal species and, more importantly, a large number of bird species, including the delightful Cape Penduline-Tit and the uncommon Orange River Francolin. A great place to visit.

10 out of 10 for decor, finishings and character of the lodge. Being newly renovated it is absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the service does not match the expecations. Staff poorly trained and limited experience in restaurant / conference management. The chef had some wonderful moments, and then other times missed the boat a little. Not sure I would go back unless the service is drastically improved, which is a pity considering the luxurious finishings and decor. View is also to die for!
