Styled for an overnight business visit with colleagues in late Jan 2012.

Shame that I couldn't enjoy a longer stay. A lovely hotel, with a very interesting historical background. View from the restaurant at breakfast - over the hills - very impressive.

Very modern & comfortable room. Free wi-fi, but some minor drop-out issues.

Very nice hotel! The restaurant is marvellous!! Great food by the pool as well. Service is slow but it is like this all over the country. Staff are kind and very helpful. I wish they could improve the internet speed which is very slow, even in the countryside, in a smaller hotel we got better internet. Internet is free in every single cafe or hotel in Rwanda. Lovely people and beautiful country! Mille Colinnes is the place to stay if you are in Kigali!

There are better hotels in Kigali but you have to stay here. The rooms are pretty good the swimming pool (which provided the only water they had during the genocide, it is impossible not to think of it) is beautiful and the food and service are also great. It is also a good location from where to go and explore Kigali - lots to see.

This is a hotel that you would love to come back.
First is the location: standing high in one of the marvelous hills of Kigali you can easily enjoy the view. It is 30 minutes away from the airport and it has easy access to everywhere in Kigali. By the way I must admit that Kigali itself in probably the most charming city in the whole subsahara eastern Africa. The country might still be poor comparing to well developed countries but they manage to stand out positively in all areas. From the moment you land at Kigali airport you understand that you are entering a country that pays attention to the smalest detail. Congratulations for that.

Back to the hotel now. The best thing about this hotel is the way it makes you feel comfortable at all moments. The rooms are spacious enough with no luxuries but they cover all the basic needs. The highlight of the hotel is certainly the pool area with the bar-restaurant that is open though out the whole day. People are gathering there through out the day to enjoy the sun, view, music, refreshements, coffes, tea or food. The best time though is in the evening when the sun goes down and the sky gets full of birds - the hawks are beautiful.

The second most important thing of the hotel is the quality of services they offer. If you have visited other hotels in Africa you would know that service is always a problem. But not in this hotel where everybody seems to work just fine. People are doing a really good job and they seem to enjoy it as well.

Finally I have to mention that the breakfast was of such good wuality that rarely is met in Hotels in Africa.

I would higly recommend this hotel to business or leisure travellers.

We wanted to stay here because of it's significance and importance to Rwanda, and the hotel was very good. It is not a "5 star" hotel when you compare it to something in Europe, or the US- but it is a very nice hotel with a friendly staff. The restaurant has an amazing view over Kigali, and the food was good and affordable. The rooms are comparable to a standard room in the US, and the beds were very comfortable. Its the perfect place to start your Rwandan vacation, and it seemed as if it was very popular with business travelers.

The location of Mille Collines is perfect for business - as it is steps away from banks, commercial and government buildings, and for leisure - the views from the restaurant ight well be "the best in Kigali". The service is warm, though slow by international standards... it feels more like a well run club. For me they get the important things right: strong coffee, reasonable wi fi, and the breakfast croissants were an unexpected treat
The rooms aren't special, standard business hotel rooms, small but clean. I was reminded a few times by locals that the hotel isn't five star, but this would certainly be my first choice in Kigali
