Was introduced to Residence Mamoune by the West Arica Rural Foundation who have an a special rate there. Was in Dakar to sign an MOU with WARF and spent one night there because the hotel was fully booked for the rest of the week. Was given a suite at the price of a standard.

Stay there every time I visit Dakar.

Lunch is varied with good benachin buffet.

Rooms clean with good Wi-Fi.

Not far from the airport.

Best hotel stayed while in Dakar so far. The facilities are good, clean rooms, good room service, helpful staff and good enough internet. The hotel is about 10-15min walk to the Citydia supermarket, and 2 mins near some smaller supermarkets /shops where you could get just about anything. For longer stay, the residences are perfect and comfortable with a working area, some small kitchenettes, good space in the living room and balcony to take a chill

My stay at Mamoune was superb!
I was there for 1 week on business and loved every minute of it. The room was spacious and clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast is a little bit sparse, but you could order additional items like omelet which was all included in the price of the accommodation.
The best thing about the Mamoune was the staff. Everyone from security guards, doorman, waiters, cook, receptionist to the manager treated me like family while I was there.

The hotel has internet connection, hot water, currency exchange facilities... and if there is something you are missing, they will organize it for you.

It is situated a little bit outside the main center, however, as Dakar is very small, you are never really far away from anything. Also, staying more central means constant harassment of hawkers.
I can highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Ask for room fasing away from the main street.

The Residences Mamoune was a reasonable hotel, located some distance from the city and about halfway between the airport and the city. It was clean and tidy, with friendly staff. The breakfast was very basic: coffee, yoghurt and bread.

My first room didn't have hot water, but the next night I was moved to an apartment in the residences. The apartment had a kitchen, lounge, and a large king bed. Very spacious.

The room was around US$100 per night, which when compared to other deals available in 4* and 5* hotels in Dakar (especially if you can get a corporae rate) was not very good value for accomodation only. However, if you want a serviced apartment, and don't mind lots of taxi trips to get anywhere, this place is worth looking at.
