The environment is not the very best to want to eat in. The food is typical Senegalese if you care very much for Yassa!

The front porch of this rundown shack-looking restaurant is crowded with locals keeping dry in the rainy season and arguing at high volumes. But wading through the chaos, the inside is cosy, to put it comfortably. Another way to say it would be "tiny," as the restaurant has just three tables. But we grabbed the end of the table of another diner, and ordered snapper with plantain. The first thing they brought us was puzzling - a fork, a knife and a lemon. But soon after the snapper arrived in big plate style. The fish was some of the best I've had in west Africa - fresh, tasty, cooked just enough, with optional condiments from fiery peppers to sweet tomato. A plate with a cold beer was just 40,000 Leones, less than $10 USD. Definitely a great find.

This place looks shabby from the outside but the food is great and very reasonable. Definately the best fish place IN Freetown. Not east to spot but close to Bashers bakery.

The food was good and the price reasonable. The restaurant is located a bit far from the hotel where I stayed but I preferred to go there for food.

The benichine and ginger fish was sublime. The food at this restaurant is really great, shame about the decor and size.
