Owner description: Though larger and more diverse collections are housed elsewhere, the hands-on traditional drums and other musical instruments are the highlight of this modest collection.

Spend a couple hours here and learn so much about Uganda! Our guide ,Alice, played the musical instruments for us, shared all her information about the history of the country , the people, the lifestyles, the rituals ...these stories literally poured out of Alice. I was in awe of her pride in her history .
There is a lovely restaurant adjacent to the museum with a wide variety of food and drink choices .

Oh what a sad and abandoned place! Everything full of dust, as it has been untouched for decades. Did not understand why the a dam was showcased? All without any concept. And why a whole room for olympic games? Waste of money and time!

I wasn't expecting much from the museum but was highly impressed. Admission comes with your personal tour guide (ours was Issac). He was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of my questions and gave his personal opinion on topics I am a fan of history and geography so it was well worth the 15k UGX for an non Ugandan to enter.

The museum is well laid out, from pre historic to modern day, the curator was also quite knowledgeable.
