Banda Inn was our first lodging upon arrival in Africa, and it exceeded our expectations. We were met at the airport by friendly staff and Steven at Banda was able to give good advice and provide trustworthy drivers upon request. The house feels very private due to wonderful tropical landscaping, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Great food prepared upon request! Beats a hotel anytime!

I chose Banda Inns based on the recommendations that I read here at Tripadvsior and happily add my own to the list. I stayed there on my last night in Africa, at the end of two busy weeks of safaris and trekking and looked forward to some R&R. Checking in at noon, reading for hours on the back porch, surrounded by lush gardens and relaxing, watching dvds in the living room in the evening was just what I needed after a busy holiday. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and very efficient. I felt like I was staying at a friend's house, rather than a hotel and would highly recommend Banda Inns for anyone who wants a relaxing, quiet stay, away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Kampala.

Our team of 12 people throughly enjoyed our stay at Banda Inn. The breakfasts and dinners were scrumptous - Rose outdoes herself at each meal. She is a wonderful cook and plenty of food! Enjoyed our morning meal on the patio with the beautiful surroundings. Steven was quick to fix anything that was requested in a very timely manner. The Saturday night campfire was an added bonus. Only downside - the beds in the master bedrooms were very firm. If you like very firm - you'll love this beds! Would highly recommend Banda Inn for a small group or a larger group of people. We felt like we left family when we Banda Inn.

Of all the places we stayed in Uganda, we always dreamed ourselves back to the quiet garden and great terrasse at Banda Inns!
This due to the homely atmosphere, great neighborhood and first and foremost we enjoyed the good company of the host. who f.x. treated us to a cosy bondfire one evening in the beautiful garden.
The showers and rooms are wellfunctioning - Uganda is funny, many places hot water comes after five to eight minutes and there is little of it! . At Banda Inns we only had to wait a few minutes to get the hot water running - and there was enough of it!

Then the two adult ladies who runs the place, treating us to breakfasts, teas and all you can wish for. The service even includes laundry! They are a rare kind both of them.
The atmosphere they create is really really something of a kind. The quiet garden, even the two dogs and of course mostly the people working there are a rare species who's kindnatured personalities will come up with all ideas possible to make you feel good and a home. All there is to say about Banda Inns is: It is a true gem...ahh, and also:

. Book, book now, the place fills up quickly!

I stayed at Banda Inns while doing some consultancy work with a water sector project in Uganda. It was great to find somewhere to work with power 24/7, as the electricity situation in Uganda is fairly dire at the moment. Having the internet at close hand also made things really easy.

The staff are great and fuelled with tasty chicken and rice I got lots of work done! Back in the UK now and wishing I was working from the shaded garden terrace…
