We got mocha shakes and various pastries which were all excellent. The wifi is fast and they are very willing to let you hang out (we were waiting for a plane) as long as you buy some things. Pleasant atmosphere. Not cheap by Nepal standards - more similar to U.S. pricing.

This is the best coffee in Kathmandu . They have a few outlets around the city. It also does food which looks good. We had a fruit salad plate and it was delicious. The service was quick and very polite. The toilets at the place were also very clean. A good place to stop and rest the feet after sightseeing.

Himalayan java, a substitute for 'Starbucks' in Nepal is a perfect placec to relax after your city tour. Local coffee beans roasted here are no less than those you get in Starbucks. You can study local newspapers or New York times or other best sellers while enjoying your cup of coffee. If you want to train as a Barista, do not forget to ask them about enrollment. Its also a place where you can converse with travellers worldwide.
