My daughter and I stayed at this hotel and its sister in Pokhara, and used them to book a trek around Annapurna. Everything went very well, and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave us a (complimentary) pick-up from the Airport on our arrival, with a necklace of orange flowers, and we had a good room, with air con and a fridge, both very much appreciated in the heat and humidity of Nepal in May/June. The shower worked fine, with hot water when we wanted it. Central location in Thamel for shopping and sightseeing. All in, we stayed 8 nights in Katmandu and 5 nights in Pokhara, very happily. Very helpful arranging taxis and trips.

Room Tip: Make sure the air cona nd the fridge are working, and keep the window shut to keep any moskitos out!

We stayed at Hotel Family Home for four nights in total. It was a great place in the centre of Thamel. It's location was convenient for getting to the Garden of Dreams, Durbar Square, and all the shops/restaurants in Thamel. There's a complimentary breakfast on the roof terrace every morning which was delicious, and the roof terrace is a great place to have a evening beer away from the busy streets of Kathmandu. Our room was clear and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom, tv, fridge and air conditioning. We went on a trek in the middle of our stay and the staff were happy to look after our luggage while we were away, they also arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport when we arrived, and were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The walls are a little thin so you can hear people coming in and out of their rooms, but this wasn't too much of a problem. This was a great value hotel, I thoroughly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for a few days before our trek, and we liked it so much that we came back for another 5 days once we finished trekking. The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are large and clean, and the showers have reliably hot water. The staff was very helpful and the hotel includes many additional conveniences, such as airport pick-up and breakfast on the lovely rooftop.
We recommend this hotel for budget travelers we paid 30$ for two include breakfast

All of the staff is wonderful and ready to help with any request. We truly felt like they appreciated our business and were genuine in their desire to be helpful. The accommodations were spacious. The highlights of this hotel are its location, beauty, Economic, the quietness of the rooms, and friendly staffs with roof top Garden restaurant. Please try to be there one time then you will be feel real from your heart.

The hotel was awesome, the staff was so helpful, and mukti pandey is like a brother. I would like to request the tourist to stay for just one night in the hotel, m sure you will never check out for other hotel. I really miss the environment and the hospitality of the hotel. I wish all the success of the hotel.
