“Good hotel but far away from the city centre action”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

I stayed here in early Nov 2013 on my Kathmandu-Pokhara trip. The hotel is very close to the airport, just takes 5-7 mins, which is wonderful. The hotel itself is very nice. Has a nice welcoming lobby. The staff at the reception is very efficient and check in and check out is smooth and quick. The rooms are a bit on the smaller size but not cramped and have all necessary amenities like Ac climate control, Electric kettle, mineral water.
The breakfast spread is huge and delicious with a lot of fresh fruits and Indian dishes too!
The restaurant staff was excellent and efficient too.
On my return from Pokhara i was given a room that didnt have an electric kettle. On complaining an electric kettle was promptly sent to the room in under 5 mins! Wonderful service!
The only downside of this hotel was that it being an airport hotel is far away from the city centre and has no nightlife close by. No decent shops or restaurants or pubs. And because it was Nepal bandh while i was traveling it seriously affected my plans for a nice evening meal in the Thamel area.
On the whole a very good hotel if distance from all the city centre action does not matter to you.

I stayed at this hotel for both arrival and departure at Kathmandu. This review is mainly for people visiting Nepal and will visit Pokhara/Chitwan during their trip.
Pros
- Friendly and informative staff
- Food (Soups,breads)

Cons
- Far off if planning to visit places in Kathmandu
- Not hot water except mornings(This seems to be a management issue as staff was clueless)
-Room heating an issue if you end up getting certain rooms.

Room Tip: Book if need a place close to the airport

I stayed at this hotel after I landed to Kathmandu from the United States. I found the room and the beds small but they were very comfortable. The water coming out of the tap was brown so i ended up brushing my teeth with a bottle of mineral water. The location is great. The Breakfast Buffet was excellent. They had a variety of very tasty food. The hotel staffs were very helpful and professional. I expected much more out of the money I paid but its far better than a lot of hotels in Kathmandu I stayed at. I definitely recommend other people to stay at this place.

Room Tip: Choose a rooms that are on the top floor.

We arrived at Kathmandu late at night and we had a flight an 6am the next morning. Staff at reception were lovely and friendly. Staff in the restaurant we very helpful, and the food was delicious.

Rooms were lovely and clean, we were meant to have a triple room but there were only 2 beds so we told the staff at reception and they sent up an extra bed within 5 minutes, you didn't need to make the bed or anything, the staff did it themselves. However the beds weren't really soft. Shower was clean but we couldn't manage to get the shower door closed. Even though the airport was online 5-10 minutes away, there was no aeroplanes taking off at night so it was quiet, apart from horns of bikes and dogs barking (which i never heard).

Would definitely stay here again if I had a early flight and would recommend staying here for an early flight the next morning.

Stayed here one night after my flight arrived at midnight. Front desk receptionist was extremely helpful in helping me advise and arrange my bus tickets for the journey the next day. Also gave me great advice for how to get to the bus terminal the next morning super early.

Room was average, but for the price and proximity to the hotel, it was worth every penny. No hot water, but I'm used to taking it cold too, no worries. Ok bathroom, but I was only there for 5-6 hours, so just crashed and slept like a baby. Quiet place.

We (I and my wife) flied from Hong Kong and landed at Katmendu on mid-night. We had a domestic flight next morning so we chose to stay in this hotel, avoiding travelling back and forth from the city. A terrible mistake! The room was dirty. It seems that the carpet was last washed a century ago. No hot water. Next time with the same situation, we will for sure pick any hotel in the city, as it takes maybe 15-20 min. max from the airport.

We usually visit here for our business trips.. the rooms are highly average and not much is done to the interiors of the room. but at the same time the hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly ..not to mention they can guide you out to the best off-beat places to visit in nepal .. breakfast out here is delicious as it serves good Indian and Nepali cuisines. room service is quick . extremely close to the international airport and an ideal place for a business stay.. also you can request for you favorite cuisines personally to the chef at times.. and yes he will not disappoint you !! good food!!

Room Tip: choose the rooms facing at the back of the hotel to get a good panorama view of the kathmandu city...
