Booked this hotel on trip adviser recommendation and agree with all the comments. A lovely family run, reasonably priced boutique hotel. The staff are charming and happy to help with requests. Rooms are excellent and stylish. Also enjoyed the rooftop breakfast area which has a good view. Restaurant food was good and had a great Trekkers massage at the spa.

We Stayed at the Hotel Tibet International for 8 nights of our 30 day trip and loved it. The staff was kind and friendly and made sure that our wishes were accommodated. They always had sincere big warm smiles to greet us. The hotel was new and beautiful with elaborate Tibetan motif. The rooms were clean and comfortable and gave us our best nights' sleep in Nepal. The view we had was amazing. The location of the hotel was great. The dining was excellent. The food was delicious and the menu options were expansive in comparison to other hotels we stayed at – while at the same time being more reasonably priced. This will be the hotel we stay at when we return to Kathmandu. Shanta&Mike U.S.

We had a wonderful time - great and smiling service. We chose this hotel because it is slightly away from the main tourist areas of Kathmandu with better air quality, it is in fact minutes from the Boudna Stupa. We had a wonderful room on 6th floor with an outside terrace garden and views over the Stupa and local settlements to the mountains beyond. Everything was spotless... we were delighted. We liked the convenience of getting breakfast at the hotel (an outdoor terrace restaurant for breakfast - superb brown bread!) and dinner on site and room service after a long days walking in the hills. Food quality was good for Kathmandu but best idea is to stick to local or vegetarian food, western style meat dishes were not great in our experience but this was a small issue.
If you wish to vist the Durbar Square and markets of Kathmandu or the Backpacker disneyland/ frenetic pace of Thamel you can get there in approx 20mins in one of the local taxis (look for the ones with the black number plates and agree a price before you go)- approx EUR4.
Our visit to the Hotel Tibet International was a pleasure and I hope we'll be back

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views!

We had a very nice stay at Hotel Tibet International. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our room was very nice and we were given access early and a late check out with no extra cost. The only issue was that Thamel and Durbar Square is about a 20 minute taxi ride away.

We had a lovely stay in the hotel. Our children liked very much the spacious room and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was warm, there was enough hot water and the room service was excellent. We enjoyed the location near Boudhanath Stupa (UNESCO World Heritage Site) in a relatively peaceful neighbourhood. A bit pricey and a bit far from the city centre, but very good value for the money.

In noisy, dusty and busy Kathmandu, this hotel is really the oasis in the dessert. I feel so comfortable living here. It's very close to the famous Buhda Stupa, too. Very convenient. Just love it.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms facing inside, not facing the busy noisy street. The SPA is good, too.
