“Wonderful Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2014

OCTOBER 2007
The service, people, etc.- there was absolutely nothing to complain about. They have hundreds of people in and out all the time, yet at breakfast (I had been on a 12 day trek and had only stayed there one night and eaten the one breakfast prior to heading out), one of the servers handed me the beautifully cooked omelette I had not seen at the 1st breakfast (I ended up having a beautifully cooked scrambled egg). I had only made a passing comment to him like "Oh, I wished I had seen the omelette". He replied "maybe you can choose that when you return". He actually remembered and walked up to me with the plate. At the desk I was having a conversation about the different money and I casually remarked that I had different pockets in my bag for different money. They handed me some envelopes and wrote on them, USD, Thai Bacht, Nepalese Rupee. When I arrived there, my card key broke whilst in the door, no problem - nothing was a problem - they were such lovely people and again, the service was perfect.

Room Tip: This room had already been chosen as part of my trip. I would not have chosen a better room where my...

I had a great experience in staying in Radission. The hotel is located in prime location and walking distance from the hear of the city. Thamel, and other eateries are in walking distance. I particularly become fan of their interior and it was really homely at the same time giving a professional touch to make more comfortable for their guests. only thing was bit problematic was the internet connections. And it was difficult bcz you are only given one access card for each room.

I should mention about the breakfast, in one word – awesome! You get all of your own choice. They have nice garden roof top bar cum restaurant, which nice to hang out in the evening. Services and conference facilities were very nice too.

Room tarif was negotiated by the company, still its a great experience staying here,

Room Tip: top floors are with nice city views

Radission Katmandu is a average proprety unlike other Radission proprety, Mr Malik ( GM) is really helpful and supportive , I will rate Mr Malik only supportive mananger in Raission Katmandu

Please be aware of the travel desk , they will charge you very high price for Local Transfers

We were charged Nepali 2500 Rupees for a total distance of 15 KM ( Thamel & New Road) which other wise is Nepali 200 Rupees ( Drivers are not supportive at all)

Great hotel in a quiet location of this bustling city. Nice pool in main wing and the staff always so nice and helpful. We stayed in the new wing and rooms very good with great shower. Hotel has a separate sports bar with snooker and not expensive for a 5 star hotel. Great buffet breakfasts

Would definitely be back to Nepal and this hotel

Room Tip: The rooms in the new wing are spacious with good showers. Bed very comfortable and duvet soft and wa...

Rotten food buffet and highly unprofessional staff is what you will encounter at Radisson nepal...We stayed here for 4 days unfortunately and the overall experience was awful. Here goes the breakfast menu..day 1- idli, sambar with rotten coconut chutney, grilled tomatoes, and french toast..day 2- idli sambar with rotten coconut chutney grilled tomatoes and french toast...day 3- chole bhature..day 4 chole bhature.....Chefs at radisson are well trained in recycling the left over food....for more adventurous pallet you can try their Chinese food from room service...i can assure you that you will never ever dare to eat chinese anywhere in the world. In case you plan to stay here after reading these comments(obviously if ur left with no choice)...i would like to give you a tip...just be quiet and do not complaint, this way you will spare yourself of the embarrassment that can cause due to grumbling and murmuring staff...also do not expect the staff to resolve your queries since they have no knowledge on the services that they provide.I had taken the servoice for their tranquility spa and wanted to do some changes in my timing, but no staff was able to help me...also on the breakfast table i had asked for some hot bhatures....and i am still waiting...

Room Tip: Do not stay here..if at all you do and you want internet connection..take room on lower floor since...

Visited this hotel twice with family and had 4 premium rooms ... first for 2 nights and than 1 night as we had already pre-booked.
This hotel has 2 wings, the old and the new wing. We were kept in the new wing. the rooms have modern decor and are clean. The old wing rooms give smell of pest control.

The restaurant buffet menu for the non veg is ok but for the vegetarian, certainly not up to the mark. The service there is also very poor. You might have to wait for 10-15 min for a glass of water !!

The bathroom inside the rooms have glass walls with curtains but in some rooms the curtains are not properly placed that make it awkward for the user as the other person in the room can see through.

Overall its an average hotel with good location but poor services. At best a business hotel and not desired for tourists. Not a 5 star material !!

Very nice room in the new wing. No disturbance from the convention hall although there was a party going on the first night. The free wifi was very fast. The lady at the Travel Desk was very helpful ; efficiently organised sight seeing for us and gave us information regarding entrance fees etc. The buffet breakfast was very good, with slightly different items each day. We crossed to the old building for breakfast but later found out it was also available at the restaurant on the third floor of the new wing. There were constant power cuts but the generator cut in smoothly each time.

Room Tip: Stick to the new wing
